How much do you think it would cost to have Hasbro create or remold a custom figure for you and have it made into an official figure?

    And would you do it?

How many would you create of said figure?

    Describe your alt/bot modes!

I'd say it takes a few grand to even have Hasbro consider remolding a figure. The only case of remolding is for the conventions, and the one non-mass retail new-mold that was created in such a way is the infamously hard to get "Universe Swerve" figure, who was availiable exclusively through Chevy's site AFTER some promotion where you could only get him by test driving a real life version of him in China or something.

I'd guess somewhere in the high six figure range. They'd wouldn't do it for you at cost, and would want to make money off you or it wouldn't be worth their time.

They would probably have to allocate resources off other projects that make them a significant amount of money. So it's not just a matter of how much it costs to pay people, and pay for materials. It's a matter of how much money they would potentially NOT be making because other projects would be getting held back.

to have it made into an actual figure? I doubt they're even set up for that. I don't know how to phrase what I mean. Who would you talk to? There is no one at Hasbro that handles personal requests. My guess is you'd have to be willing to pay such a ridiculous amount that someone would listen, and try to make a pitch to the company as a whole. I'd say very high six figures.

Even then, they'd probably say they're not in the business of fan requests...even if it would be profitable.

To answer a simple question, Leader class Classics Star Convoy. Having won the lottery (provided it was one of $100-300 million lottos), I'd drop a cool a million.

In this economy, paying Hasbro to make a custom figure of anything would be the furthest thing from my mind.

Not from Hasbro, but I'd buy a massive plot of land and get life-size sculptures built out of all the vehicle bots. It would cost obviously, the cars and planes alone could be ruinous.

Ideally they'd be hydraulically articulated, a little anyway, arms and heads, waists and knees.

    I have big ideas!

Well, I wouldn't necessarily go to hasbro, but I would have a 5' tall version of Fort max made to my specs, as well as make his respective repaints (grand and brave max), and I'd probably make as many as were requested. So if I get 100 requests, I'd make 100 fort max's. And trust me, it wouldn't be some lame-o up scale thing either, I'm talkin articulated everything, lights, possibley so sounds.. Oh yes he will the the ultimate masterpiece... All hypothetical ofcourse.

Might be more cost-effective to throw your money at one of the fan-companies that make their own custom toys and accessory kits.

Holy crap man, get out of my head!

Seriously, I was just going to go for cheap end Titanium Cosmos to be made with all plastic, and high end a Cosmos the size of the big Millenium Falcon toy.

Indeed. Given the work of FansProject, I'd certainly go to them, and I'd have a high degree of "control" of the aproval process as well. For a million or so I'm sure they'd be glad to do it.

I think the point of this thread is assuming you were financially secure enough to afford to pay Hasbro to do this for you.

    That being said, Masterpiece SIXSHOT!

I would instead use the money to go to college and learn how to make toys, learn hypnotism on the side, and then I could go work for Hasbro myself and mess with their heads to allow me to make the toys I want :ev:

I'd have them laser scan my likeness and make a figure of ME to scale with the new "Human Alliance" movie figures, so Bumblebee and I could have adventures.
