Hasbro announce 16 new figure slots for the Trilogy Deluxe line in 2012 - only to follow up with the comment that 8 of them are Bumblebee as he's so "Popular with the kids" and that There will be 5 Voyagers and 3 of them will be Optimus Prime repaints so he can "Maintain shelf presence" through out the year and into the lead up for the 4th Movie toy line where they can bring us even more of the popular Optimus Prime and Bumblebee toys the kids so crave.

Takara and Hasbro have a massive falling out over the future of the line, leading to less cooperation between design staff on both sides.

Hasbro design and market toys in the tradition of PCC, Ultimate BB.

Meanwhile, Takara focus entirely on designing and marketing much more complex toys, molds exclusive to Asia. To offset lack of revenue from working with Hasbro, prices increase sharply over and above the premium they already charge.

So, Dino, and a reissue of Jetfire might happen yet then?

 

Hasbro release three waves each consisting of 4 new Deluxe Bumblebee decos in the Movie Trilogy line.

Fort Max gets re-released and the entire fandom declares that they'll buy it on clearance.

Ok..this is a bit of a depressing thread, but what the hell! Classics versions of Rattrap, Rhinox & Waspinator are announced, but the line is cancelled early to make way for Bay-watch me milk an empty cow-movie 4.

The Movie Trilogy line epically shelfwarms on a global scale, causing stores to refuse to buy any TF Prime stock.

Peter Cullen is replaced by Woody Allen as the voice of Optimus Prime in TF4.

Transformers engineering takes another leap so the figures instantly transform themselves at will, rendering us obsolete!
