I need this figure(s) hydrospanned,then cast.
Anyone willing to take this on, PM me.
This would be so expensive and so time consuming, honestly you would be better off finding larger animal toys and grafting them onto larger transforming figures. Like what Menchoy is doing with zoids and classic and animated figures.
he's right, that would be ALOT of money for materials. The only way you could even possibly make it worth it is if you make multiples and sell the extras. but still, thats alot of mold material. keep in mind that you have to mold every single piece at least twice (one to make the mold to pour hydrospan into, then one more to capture the size after expanding).
yeah, was a bad idea, just thought I'd see what's available.
I really need to get my 3D scanner/printer....
There was a guy from a japanese board that did a kickass articulated G1 Predaking with improvements in some other parts too (like articulated hands) and new sword. Have you seen it? I tried to find pics/threads but looks like it has been deleted.
I have those pics saved on my comp. If you want to see them let me know.
man post them in this thread, they were so AWESOME!
yeah, they are awesome.
I'll post a thread in GD of them
Dude i hear ya. i would go to town wiht one of those. i already have a bunch of designs that I think would only be realistic if i made them wiht a rapidprototyper. i could finally finish off every character in WST scale...ohhh the sweetness....
all i know is if someone is able to hydrospan the original Predaking, I'd pay good money for that.
It would be around 4000 at least.
I would love to see this done, I would but man oh man I don't have the cash to fund this sorta project especially cause I would want to expand it at least twice (120% larger would be frikken sweet).
4000? I will build one of out clay if that;s the case.
tony, i sculpt, you cast, we will retire
That's the plan alright. A good mold and caster is one of the highest paid jobs in the industry. Would love to do it professionally.
You should pick up some castiliene wax, best sculpting medium out there for making toys.
