Thanks to SMOG for the inspiration, his kitbash gave me the idea to do one for my own. basically i used Universe Countdown's arms, Kotobukiya 1/100 hands and BT Broadblast head.

This is still long way to go as I have to do alot of cutting and trimming as the arms is a damn tight fit in vehicle mode.

And for the head, I still have not figured out a practical way to store it yet,. Probably I will try something ala energon Inferno head transformation technique.

    The rest are just mistransformations.

will update as i go. Thanks for looking.

Note: I did not greyscale the pics as his colors are pretty much the final colors i will be settling for, except with some paint details.

Nice! The Broadblast head is not bad... I'll have to rethink using one of the Alt Skids heads I have lying around.

I'm amazed that those arms fit (are they in there in the alt-mode pics?) but they do look nice and beefy. I wonder of you can swap out the giant hinge joint at the shoulder for something that will attach to the existing balljoints on that mold, and still hold the new arms from the bicep down?

Let me know if you come up with a solution for the head storage. I'll do the same if I get there first! ;)

Wow...I'm curious about the arms too, is their space under the roof for a head? If so you could create a revolving panel using parts from something else

Thanks guys for the comments, really really appreciate it, now to answer some specific questions:

I tried the Classics Deluxe Ironhide head, while it looks awesome on yours, somehow when I place it there, he looks abit puny. Maybe it is just me. or maybe it is just that I do not have Sunny or Sides arms to proportioned this out.

Since I have my junker Alt Skids in another house, I will have to use Broadblast's head as a placeholder. (He will get back his head in due time.

And speaking of the head transformation, what I plan is to cannibalise some gundam joints and stick the swivel arm behind the port. The port will fold out together with the head which is attached to a ball joint and folds out to the front of the roof where the head will rest. (I hope I explained this well because if you don't understand, I might have to post a diagram later).

As for the arms, it is tucked under the hood, almost reaching the hood. However due to its size, as you can see in the pics, there are noticeable gaps because of the size of the arms. Hence, I will be cutting some of the innards to give some clearance. A few places that I have identified would be:-
    1) The plastic behind the front bumper
    2) The arm / shoulder swivel joint needs to be trimmed in half to get more clearance
    3) Some excess plastic here and there.

But as I said earlier, the arms DO fit in, but it is a damn tight fit.

As mentioned above, the arms do tuck in but some cutting is required to make everything stay flush.
As for the head, I am going for the Energon Inferno style of head transformation and in vehicle mode, the head will just sit behind the rear of the stacks.

Okay, here is what I am planning to do with the head.

The end result would be a kinda 'way' to stow away the head but there will be kind of like a small kibble on top of the roof. The only challenge now is to find a suitable swivel joint and 2 attaching ball joints. I already have a vague idea which gundam I should cannibalize (read: RG Strike gundam). Damn my inability to fabricate parts with styrene.

Yeah, I think that's probably it. The arms on yours are so much beefier, so it kind of changes the sense of proportion from a lankier Bayformer-y bot to something more G1-style. The larger head matches the arms better.

Heh... I figured that was a bit pricey for a replacement head. :)

If it does the job, it's all good. :D

YEah, I was thinking the same thing... just having the head on an armature or something.

Wow, that's potentially pretty ambitious if you're assembling it from bits and pieces... a swivel and a hinge at the mid-point? Of course, now that I think of it, Gundams are probably a good call for stuff like that.

Looking forward to seeing more. :popcorn

Looks pretty sweet. What version of the Movieverse Ironhide figures is this one btw?

Anyway... if you can find new feet for him... he'd be a great Prime/Movie update that looks better than what CHUG offered officially IMO.

The DOTM voyager version... aka the only red version.

It's not hard to look better than that thing. Generations Ironhide is a mess.
