Which humans do you think are the best in the Generation 1 saga, comic or cartoon are allowed. I think Spike, Carly and Jan from the Japanese G1 series Victory are the best. I think Jan is better than Daniel as he doesn't whine like Daniel did in G1 and another Japanese exclusive G1 series Headmasters.
For me, it's always Spike... Sparkpug, Chip, and Daniel are okay. I don't remember Carly, but I'd probably care less about her anyways.
Whoah whoah. Daniel wasn't that bad in g1. He was a standard kid character in an 80's cartoon. In headmasters he was a mentally handicapped child with a learning disorder and serious issues leading one to imagine he's a victim of sexual abuse from Wheelie. Don't lump those two together.
Spike wasn't bad. The humans in Masterforce were also pretty good, especially how the Decepticons were almost like a family.
The Witwicky family and especialy Snake. I never watched "Only human" whole in my childhood, but I knew that Snake's voice was familiar. We never had G.I. Joe aired in my country, but I caught a few eps on sat tv as a kid. And couple of years back when I watched the end of that episode I flipped.
So was Jan in Victory. Wow, I miss those days and I'm thankful I can relive them with some good DVD sets.
Most of the humans were actually useful in G1, but the spotlight was still definitely on the Transformers. They got a happy medium between human interaction and robot fighting for the most part. Too bad the following series couldn't boast the same.
I never had a problem with the recurring human characters from the first two seasons. I know I've already been beat to the floppy shredding comments, but I'm gonna say this, anyway: I know some people don't like Ship Chase, but I'm not gonna screw with anybody who can tear up a floppy disk, with his bare hands. I'm just glad that those three idiots from B.O.T. were only in the one episode. Daniel was not only useless, but he drug Arcee down with him.
