This is my Skids. Maybe the coolest of the HA figures!!!
I´ve dry-brushed the metal (aka plastic) and used copper for wires/ hydraulics. A simple repaint only in robot mode. Finally you can see the brake dics! Bamm!

Arcee isn´t finished yet and there are more pics to come soon (the light isn´t good now).
    Hope you like it.

    Simon

    Nice touch-ups!

I think the proper term however, is "pre-owned":p

Are you going to paint Arcee blue to make her Chromia or leave her red?

Well that arcee toy that came with skids is actually chromia! Look at the left gun arm and where the second wheel is. The true Arcee comes with Mudflap (but that one is named chromia and colored blue :banghead:  )

So if you painted this Red colored Chromia blue you would actually make it even more show accurate!

I believe he meant to say gray - but I could be wrong...

It's a bit too shiney for my tastes too, but it's also a mighty fine paintjob you've got there :thumb

    - you gonna add any decals/details to his bot mode (glyphs) and alt mode (tag)?

Love the work you've done here either way!

Oh, I See. Maybe I'll do sth more when there is time. I am working on a new stop motion with him...

Some of you know that I only use the TFs for stop motions, so perhaps I may do something not neccessary or in someone's eyes strange ;-)

This looks pretty neat, man. I applaud the effort to work with even the smallest details. :thumb

I have a few gripes with the rust effects you added, though. I don't think that copper is a very good color to simulate rust (it's too bright IMO) and you seem to have added a little too much of it to make it look realistic. Of course, it all boils down to our own personal tastes.

Great work on this piece. :)

I was meh on this toy, now I really really want one.

Screw the crits man, keep doing what you do and get better at it. This one looks really good, but a few customs later you'll want to come back and apply everything you've learned.

Could just be me, Im ready to redo everything I panted 2 years ago

    Just a quick update

    Hey guys!
Just wanted to introduce you to my Chromia.
Based on silver color (should have used chrome) I put a clear blue coat on her...
What do you think now? Let me know.

Can't believe how tiny this thing is - you've made her look great!

-maybe a black wash would get all those recessed areas that are still pink?
