Hasbro's shooting themselves in the leg

 

This one and the CanAm Spyder one are intriguing enough that I might buy them. This one most especially because of the second smaller robot. Though I'll wait to see Peaugh's reviews of them before making the final decision.

 

Yep way to much BB. I dont doubt he sells but these case asortments just seem like BB overkill, especially when its as a (imo)fugly repaint thats not in the movie.

 

If the other two get a similar, guns-out vehicle mode this is definitely how I'll choose to get the Wreckers.

To the people whining "ZOMG HASBRO'S KILLING THE HA LINE":

If they wanted to kill the line, they wouldn't give us Scout-class figures with compatible drivers.

Or, they could have, you know, just not done any Human Alliance toys for DOTM.

Like it or not, Bumblebee sells. I'm moreso miffed because it's everyone who isn't Bumblebee that I'm interested in as a toy.

 

Damn, I was hoping for an HA Topspin. Roadbuster looks kind of bland to me.

 

With all these BBs make me think, that they are banking on BB truly becoming the Hero in the movie, and kids will want hero bumblebee.....

 

I don't know why anyone would buy a black and orange Bumblebee when Hasbro could have just remolded and repainted the old Bee to make him screen accurate.

Hey, do you guys think it's possible that Hasbro is having some trouble with Leadfoot? Trying to market a toy that has target logos probably isn't going to be easy to market at other stores, and maybe Hasbro is still having trouble with being able to sell him.

 

They're having trouble with that, I mean what do every store not Target look like selling a item with the competition logo on it. I also think they're having trouble with ferrari and benz....

I've wondered this myself. Probably it's because they don't want to put the development money into it. I think offering this repaint DURING the endless ROTF HABB re-releases would have been a good idea. I actually might have even wanted one prior to MP BB and Battle Blade BB. (I had issues with the mold, but it was a love hate thing and I managed to look past many of the problems since at that time it was the best BB head sculpt around).

I think a new HA BB either based off his new car or his battle car would be a very good idea (or his 70's mode)

I have no doubt there will be a toy. Maybe a Target exclusive, maybe not. Worst case he'll just end up being a Target exclusive Roadbuster repainted red with a big target emblem on the hood. Hopefully it won't come to this though.

Of course for all we know, the bot could look like the inbred love child of Mudflap and Skids.

 

Well, it's a step up from Herp and Derp at least. Pass for now, I want to see if I like Soundwave more.

Re: Bumblebee, I wouldn't mind so much if it wasn't the same rubbish repaint. Why not a red CJ version or a race deco with faux sponsors like that deluxe we saw the other day, or go nuts and do a horrible neon green boyracer deco.

Anything would be better then just shoving this same repaint in the case and calling it a day.

 

I really doubt that's the issue. We've seen his legends, and it's decked out in weaponry to the point that there's no target logo on him. I don't think it's a stretch to think that this idea will carry over to the deluxe/HA class. Shoot, they might even change the logo to read something else, like "Crosshairs Retail" It's not like the Target logo is going to make or break the purchase here.

 

I'm sure there are all kinds of Hot Wheels with race sponsor decals that advertise competitor retailers. I'd go check, but that aisle's full of creepers.

 

I like it. It would have been cool if it came with Dale Jr. That BB is ass ugly though.

 

I want to repaint that driver all white, so I can have my very own The Stig action figure.
