Ads, really....they should of made this version (720p and ads) free while another version (1080p and no ads) the $10/month one...or something like that.

$10 a month with ads...not too sure on that then. Maybe I'll try it.

So thats why they disabled the PS3 web browser... those assholes.

At least there will always be hooking up a laptop to your TV. They cant take that away from me.

I guess that's to keep it in line with the 360's version which will require XBL Gold membership.

Regardless, there's no way I'll be paying for Hulu in it's current form. I have Netflix, which I can pop in my PS3 and watch how I please and they get a decent amount of TV shows there

Some of the shows on Netflix are (as they air) like Legends of the Seekers, so I'm pretty content with that. Also Hulu allowed for it to stream on PS3 and then removed it for this, so screw that.

$10 a month for ad-supported content is just a non-starter for me. There are so many other ways to get Hulu (or just past tv shows in general) on your TV that this doesn't make sense from a consumer perspective.

So if I pay my $10 do I get to watch it on any and all of the devices listed?

It's really not a valid question though as I have no desire to support a model that has a subscription fee and advertising.

Yeah I saw that. That's a good thing for folks thinking that Plus would remove any potential good deals and force them into Plus. Live is still required for Hulu, despite you already paying for Live.

I'm curious too. If I were to get this on PS3, will it also work on 360 next year, the way Netflix works on all my activated devices. I'm pretty sure this is the case.

edit: Just found the App for HuluPlus on my Iphone. I'd be curious.. especially if it works on multiple devices. It works on the Iphone over 3G, so if it works on multiple devices, it might not be too bad.

I currently watch Hulu on my PS3 via PlayOn Media Server. I'm not really sure there is any reason to pay for this...

I wonder if they are going to cut access to newer shows for those who are using playon and Orb and such.

Well, Hulu isn't officially available via Play-On. They just found a way to get root access to the show database. Hulu could potentially cut access completely, they did before. However, PlayOn supports an open plug-in system. All someone would need to do is get root access again and create a plug-in for it.

the only problem with PlayOn is they have completely changed their pricing structure. If you didn't get in with the original launch, it'll cost pretty much the same as paying for Hulu Plus.

I'm going to try the free temporary service on the phone and see how it works. 720p and subscriptions to new shows. I might can or downgrade my cable if it works well.

Say what now? Is it a physical entity?
