Transformers Prime Robots in Disguise RiD Powerizer/Voyager Megatron Packaging Flaw - YouTube

Today I received a Powerizer Megatron in the mail that was missing its head. The head attaches to the figure via balljoint and it would have fallen out of the "Try Me" button hole.

While "Try Me" button holes have always resulted in figures being damaged, this is a particularly bad case because the hole is big enough for me to put most of my hand into the packaging and start messing with the figure (and I have big hands), and Megatron uses balljoint construction. I expect over the next couple of months we will be seeing quite a few Powerizer figures on the shelves with parts missing.

If you are going to buy this figure online, either do it from an online retailer that allows returns/offers a replacement parts service, like BBTS, or ask for a picture of the figure from the seller so you can verify that it is complete.

I will not be disclosing the name of the seller who sold me this Megatron because I believe it is an honest mistake and I am in contact with the seller. I did not create this thread to complain about my misfortune, I created this thread so people could be aware of this problem.

There's very little reason for that hole to be so big. A small circle around where the button is would have worked just as well.

I won't be getting any of the Powerizers anyway, but I'm glad to have the potential problem brought to the community's attention.

All the more reasons to hate those stupid, unnecessary gimmicks that only manage to take up toy budget.

    Thanks for the heads up.

^ Yes, perhaps mine will be the only one. That would be preferable.

you're right i was checking out the boxes and the hole for megs box is pretty large. the good thing is the hole for primes box is a bit smaller so it's harder to try and steal the head.

Uhg. That's bad. Almost as bad as when I first opened up my Alternity Cliffjumper, transformed him, and found out he was lacking a melon too.

@Xanthax: That's about as bad as when I opened Alternity 'Bee... And nothing, the figure sucked.
