    Huffer - Ultra Class - update 2/20/10 - page 2

Another orange :sly2:  custom I've been working on for a while. a little bit of everything here. the cab was originally a diecast and I needed it to be much lighter so I cast it. the head is part cast and partly scratchbuilt. most of arms and legs are currently ripped off of movie ironhide but the legs might change. the transformation uses a lot of little stuff from here and there.
anyway, here he is so far.
Huffer,...the other orange minibot you love to hate.

Looks great, plenty of movement and poseability too; are you going to balljoint the Ironhide ankles? Look forward to seeing him finished!

Oh cool!! Is it possible we can some pics of the back kibble on your Huffer? I've been wanting to do this one myself for a while now to add him to my Alternators collection. Now that I see someone else working on him makes me want to get one started. Here is mostly what I have in mind using a 1/24 scale DAF 95 XF Space Cab and either a Movie ironhide which I have two extra at the moment or a Alternators Prime. Here is a pic of the 1/24 DAF 95 XF Space Cab in case some you are not sure what I am refering to:

One last thing did that head you are using start out as a Deadend/Sunstreaker head?

I'm loving this! He'll fit very nicely with all of the other Classics/Universe "G1" style customs. No hate for Huffer here, especially with this nice update. Great work, bud :thumb

guys, thanks for the comments. :)  getting ready for work so just wanted to answer a few questions before I head out.

Rijie78, not sure if I'll even use much of the legs below the knees. still a lot to go with him.

Auceps Prime, this truck is at 1/32 scale. I'll get some images of the back for you. but basically nothing happens to the truck parts. they stay completely intact. the link isn't working. and you're right, face itself is cast from alt sunstreaker.

seali_me, not quite, he stands as tall as them but the truck scale is at 1/32 where as alternators are 1/24.

thanks for the compliments fellas. I'll get done him soon enough. starting to spread myself a little thin here with all of these.
    cheers

so the shins are from a 1/24 prowler kit I had. they're from the underside of the vehicle. bonus.

the forearms are 1/72 scale wathog thrusters.
the abs are from the inside roof of '07 ironhide. I needed the hinge and the rest of it fit pretty well.

Looking great man. I love how neat it all folds up in alt mode. Pretty cool that the feet form the fifth wheel/trailer hitch too :thumb
