I think it's mentioned for 2 reasons... one, to emphasize his strength, which might otherwise be overlooked due to his small size (or at least having a small toy). Secondly, perhaps to complement his role as a construction worker. Weighing the stats of smaller guys higher seems counter-intuitive to me. I don't really see the logic. Plus, in Huffer's case, his actual lifting level is specified at being around 20 tons, which is a pretty pale shadow next to Brawn's 95 tons at 9 Strength. I think 7 is strong... but not STRONG, y'know? But not bad for a little guy. On the other hand, with guys like Brawn, Gears, Warpath, Pipes, Steeljaw and Ramhorn representing, the Autobots have a pretty strong tradition of tiny powerhouses. As for the other Autobot cars, they're all bots I imagined having "above average" strength. Ironhide for obvious reasons, Trailbreaker because he's big and beefy, Sideswipe because he's such a scrapper who likes to get up close and personal with his piledriver arms, Wheeljack because of his macho greasemonkey streak. Prowl... just because he's an Autobot super-l33t with a cherry on top, and it's kind of nice that he's unassuming that way. All the Seekers have 7 Strength too. When you look back at 1984-85, the Decepticons had a lot of flex... Seekers, Soundwave, Astrotrain, Blitzwing, Shockwave, Constructicons. Only the cassettes and Insecticons dragged down their overall average. If you were looking for uber-geeks, you came to the right place. Well, his fancy arms are loaded with metallurgical and geological sensors... so... uh... he could probably touch Menasor and figure out where his weak points are. zmog
Botcon Huffer got a rifle and missiles and only got a firepower 3! Then he got his PCC Calburst and got firepower of 8!
