jeez, wasn't up only 20 minutes. OMG.
I figured that would happen. I had been checking back pretty frequently too. I still think we will all get our chance at this guy soon.
ya maybe Im just flipping out and they just put it to OOS straight away, and waiting till the 9th. Unless scalpers put in 100 orders on 25fall. But I see Recon Barricade still says coming soon anyways.
Not surprising seeing how popular and hard to find concept bumblebee has been.
Im sitting here constantly reloading the page in denial. lol.
ouch, i keep missing my chances at him
This might sound like an ignorant comment, but to all those who defend Hasbro by saying it's not their fault that the stores pegs are empty but instead the stores just didn't initially order enough, how can you explain why Hasbros website didn't have the supply for the demand? I am pretty sure any number of Hasbro employees could have checked any TF forum site, gone to any store, or checked ebay, to know that they really needed many, MANY more. Perhaps this is a marketing scheme to sell more around Xmas?
HasbroToyShop is, aside from exclusives, at the bottom of the totem pole as far as getting in TFs are concerned. Much of their stock is just overstock, or things they later had that wouldn't sell (see their large Cybertron section). I wouldn't be surprised if they only got in a handful of deluxe cases, and only a couple of CC BBs are in each.
Hasbro conspiracy theories rock.
Well, I am actually "ignorant" on how they work and what the website is there for (ignorant, by the way, just means you are lacking in knowledge on something). Companys using various methods to build hype for sales and other such things is not theoretical. It might be a conspiracy, but it isn't a theory.
Thanks for defining ignorant for me. You never know, I might have forgotten what it meant!
If Hasbro was planning to do something like that, they'd be better off waiting until the DVD release instead of virtually nothing until Christmas. And incidentally, mid-October is the time period mentioned most often for restocks.
Unless you knew for a fact what Hasbro was doing, at best your response was a theory, at worst baseless speculation.
First, lots of people take ignorant the wrong way, especially on the interweb. And I was saying the theory things because I didn't know for sure about Hasbro, so they are theories/baseless speculation! The only thing I said was not a theory was the businesses/tactics thing. Not to argue with you, just trying to smite you. (just kidding
It's all good, man. All fun, no actual disrespect meant. We're on the same page now (but my ad's in color, cheap-ass).
I feel like most of their stock is material that gets bounced around, damaged or returned from other marketing channels. Every time I get a package from them, the box is fine but the items inside look like someone sat on them.
I'm Lucky i bought mine as soon as i saw him a month back.
I'm not surprised. The thing is so damn popular.
I'm a gonna get back to TFing mine. Later guys!
Start checking your Kmarts if you have them. That's where I found my 2 CC Bumblebee's this week.
Wow Alt Rodimus was up longer, btw Menasor is still for sale.
Funnily enough, I got mine at Kohls, of all places. My friend got his there and snagged one for me, knowing that they're so hard to find. Of course, I've lost one of his shoulder pads, which is driving me freakin' crazy (little bit of OCD there), but he still rocks.
I've been able to snag 3 of these. All 3 came from Wal-Marts in my area. Honestly, I think I just got lucky. My theory as to why these are so hard to come by is kinda different. I believe that store employees from these retailers (Wal-Mart, TRU, Target, etc...) are actually partially to blame. I know when I worked at ****** (I won't name the store) we used to get first crack at merchandise before customers. This allowed us to buy anything that we knew was "worth" something. I know this only accounts for a small percentage of the shortage, but I'm sure this problem still exists.
