I just recieved an updated order status for my Nemesis Prime order which states that the new expected shipping date is not until November 1st, I suspect the same for others who ordered from the shop at the dawn hours... This is insane, how unprepared could Hasbro have been?

They probably have to produce more of the figure, though they should have known from the start how many they were planning to produce... speculation was that they might have shipped the stock meant for HTS over to SDCC due to the insanely high demand. This does lend to that theory.

Don't forget, you have to call to confirm your order. If you don't, you'll lose it.

Hasbro could rename him Invisible Prime, Novemberimus Prime, He Ain't Here Prime, or All Your Preorders Are Belong to Us Prime.

I called, to be on the safe side.

    Which isn't saying much, I guess. :)

I got the same e-mail. Sent an e-mail, but I'll call them to make sure. Better safe than sorry.

That is absolutely ridiculous!! You should have to contact them if you did NOT want to wait that long! Otherwise, your card will be charged and the figure shipped. Not the other way around...... What kind of a f#$*ked up world are they operating in? Wow...I am glad I missed out. My ordeal with Bill's Toys wasn't anywhere near as stressful.

Probably safer for HTS to work that way. Otherwise people who forgot or gave up on their order (and missed or ignored the HTS mail) suddenly get surprise-charged for the old order, and then there's more hell to pay than if they take the "must confirm to get it" approach they did.

I emailed. Looks like calling would be a good idea too.

Now I am glad I didn't order from HTS. The waiting, the endless red tapes... so what if it's only $25 compare to the $47 I paid for? I rather get them sooner at higher price than waiting forever and still need to call to confirm my order. This is beyond ridiculous for an exclusive fig that's pretty easy to get ahold of.

Only way I could afford this figure was through HTS so I dont mind the wait... only thing that irks me is how badly Hasbro botched this one, if it was going to take this long why the hell put the order up so early?

emailed and called. To me, it's worth $25-30 to wait and get it at the HTS price. I'm not all about paying markups for my toys to get them early, I wait for retail and I pay cost plus tax (don't even try to argue time and gas spent, I work in retail, I clock in for the hunt :p ). I'm just glad my paitience paid off.

Since Takara and Hasbro are sharing production lines now, it may simply have been a case that resources were not available to have a second run made any earlier......

...at least they appear to be doing *something* about it.
