Hasbro comes up to you and asks you for your ideas to make the line more popular. What would you tell them?

    1. Commanders are of familar G1 characters instead of being completely new designs and re-marketed as a spin-off from Generations.

    2. Drones would be based upon existing characters - the Predacons would have Razorclaw as the Commander and the drones would be based on Rampage, Divebomb, Headstrong and Tantrum. The only differences in design would be whatever is necessary to make them work as Powercore Combiners.

    3. Drones would be also sold in sets of two (one arm and one limb) with two sets for each 2-pack Commander.

    4. There would also be Premium drones which drop the spring-loaded gimmick and are able to transform into robots themselves as well as a vehicle/beast mode. Basically Legends toys that can transform into limbs. This will likely make the drone sets more expensive than the regular drones though.

    5. There would either be a mini-series of comics featuring the Powercore Combiners or the Powercore Combiners would be worked into either the IDW G1 comics or their movie comics.

    6. McDonalds would have their own drones given away with Happy Meals although these would be a cheaper quality than the retail drones, they would still retain the spring-loaded gimmick.

    7. Repaints still exist as before, combining a 2-pack commander and two drones from different teams to form a new team. These would be new characters and new teams. Razorclaw could be repainted into Leobreaker for example or Leo Prime.

I would have made the drones like legends class figures.

Which if done for all four drones in a five-pack would likely make the set $30 instead of $20. Or else we get incredibly crappy robot modes like we did with the ROTF Legends Constructicons.

do nothing xD so they are cancelled :D  (yeah I like PCC but just the 2pack, 5packs sucks)
but what I would really do...
    1. as you said first, "There would either be a mini-series of comics featuring the Powercore Combiners or the Powercore Combiners would be worked into either the IDW G1 comics or their movie comics. "
    2. a TF: Prime appearance of a PCC Commander with drones and minicon in some chapters
    3. PCC combiner ports of different color
    4. Transformable/Semi-transformable Drones
    5. Minicons with 5packs
    6. More worldwide distribution ¬¬

    More natural looking arms.

    Grimstone repainted as Abominus.

Personally, I like the idea that these aren't the G1 teams of yore, and original combiner teams. It really gives these figs a sense of personality that I don't think they would have had if they were just another Bruticus or just another Menasor.

    * Make the first waves not suck, so they wouldn't be so frowned upon.
    * Better QC check
    * Make sure the figures can balance better when combined

I would have prefered more basic molds without automorph and keep it simple. Maybe a tank, battleship, or sub with a strong transformation that isn't over the top with details. Make the accessorie/minicons more compatible. I'm tired of seeing little robots that kind of turn into weapons. Bring back the powermaster concept, make them transform into engine parts, pilots, or central pieces that form into the larger bot itself. Maybe that's too much, i dont know.

Don't color the connector pegs Allspark Blue, but something that fits with the overall color scheme of the figure.

    Oh,

and if the Five Packs came with a Minicon I might feel better about spending 20 dollars on one.

    A few ideas:

    - Drop the Automorph feature from the limbs. There were a lot of limbs where the Automorph just didn't work or required partially transforming the part anyway.

    - Going forward, design the limbs such that they can be either an arm or a leg, allowing for Scramble-style combiners with more variety in limb arrangements.

    - Take a cue from Grimstone/Dinobots and Crankcase/Destrons and use more cohesive colour schemes for the 5-packs.

    - Drop the Minicon partners from the line entirely. Most of them don't look good or function particularly well in any of their modes. Instead, each Commander 2-pack consists of a Commander figure and a limb Drone. When the Commander figure is a new mold, the limb will be a repaint but when the Commander is a repaint, the limb will be a new mold. Collecting a full wave of repaint Commanders gives a complete set of new limbs. This set of limbs can then later be collected together, repainted and released as a 5-pack with a new/repaint Commander.

Not saying these are bad ideas, but is either really going to save the line? To save PCCs from being cancelled would require it being a hit with kids, who probably aren't going to know/care whether or not the commanders/limbs are "familiar G1 characters".

That would be cool. We always need more Mini-Cons, hehe :)

Also, lowering overseas retail prices maybe?

In Sweden, a 5-pack combiner costs $60, and the single packs cost $25.

Give them a better backstory, and get rid of the 6 other competing transformers toy lines. Maybe imagine more of the original "teams" as five packs (Technobots, Terrorcons, Insecticons, etc.) Oh, and keep putting out cool toys like Heavytread.

You're probably right but Generations and RtS are popular with fans because they are updated forms of old characters with new characters in other lines being less popular because they are unknown.

Simple. This is to keep them at the same price:

    1. Get rid of Automorph. Make drones manual transform much like Energon Prime
    2. Give them 5mm peg hands.
    3. Get rid of movie aesthetics on drone transformed arms and legs.
    4. Give a plain molded weapon to commanders.
    5. In place of Automorph, use the budget to give drone arms and legs, elbow and knee articulation.

That's never gonna happen. The company has to make a profit, and since they're selling transformers without profit in US they have to make up the difference someplace else.

Do some Insecticons. Like break the mold and do subgroups that were never combiners.

That and stop making the drones so damn loose.

    Ebay:
Drop the auto-morph bit. Manually transforming them could possibly enable them to become either arms or legs. Increases the playability. Also, add on feet or hands will help them look better. Never liked the recent ideas that eveything NEEDS to be incorporated into it with not parts to remove & set aside
