Hasbro brought back an older series (Examples like RID, Beast Wars etc), played the episodes once a week like a regular TF show and with a Reissued toyline /Brand new molds of the figures from that same show?

Not saying that this is what Hasbro should do, or that they decided to do this but what would your opinion be if Hasbro actually did do this?

Me, I think it would be quite cool if they did do this, but its only gonna remain a sweet dream that will never be in reality :)

    Your Thoughts?

Actually, it's not so much a dream. You could almost say this is what they're doing with G1. It's airing on TV (albiet not once a week) and there're new-mold toys out based on that show.

I think if they did it with other series, they couldn't use reissued toys. The Beast Wars 10th Anniversary line was not a strong seller, and the G1 Commemorative Series was TRU exclusive for a reason. There would have to be new molds.

As for what my opinion would be, I'd buy the toys if they were good. I probably wouldn't make much effort to watch the show since I've already seen it and, except in the case of RID, own it on DVD.

I would be all for it , especially Beast Wars. RID ownership might still be an issue when it comes to airing it but the others are likely clear for such a plan , however unlikely it might be.

    You're right, complete fantasy.

But I'll never say no to more Beast Wars, old or new.

Also, does Animated count for this one..? :D

    I would love it......

....If the HUB ran up here in Canada. :banghead:

They'll eventually have to resort to this when they run out of G1 charecters for the CHUG line.

Like someone already said, they've kinda done that with G1. I'd like to see them re-air RID so I could actually see it in order.

I think that this would be a great idea for Hasbro. They already own the shows and have a channel to show them on. They own molds for the toys and they can make a few new molds. Beast Wars and Beast Machines are modern looking enough to appeal to kids. I don't think that they could get a full line out of it, but certainly 20 to 30 figures per series seems very workable. If they were able to buy RID back and do it with that series as well it would be ideal.

I would love to see what they could do with Beast Wars this time around.

That is actually an awesome idea I never thought of! You know, they should do that with G1 because it's already playing. I mean not like universe classics maybe spot on show accurate toys. That would be so cool. I would also like to see what the BW toys would be like if they re-hashed them.

Sure, why not?, but instead of weekly, run them daily like the current G1 series. Would love to watch the ones I don't have in my collection. I think several folks have been campaigning for this to happen, but with the rights to different series and different studios involved, it may be unlikely. This fan would be happy if they started showing them on the HUB asap. :popcorn

I'd love to see this for the Unicron Trilogy, except maybe redub the episodes to make more sense and redo some of the animation.

I would love it if they showed RID on TV again, as I've never seen that series and would like to see it.

My vote is to just bring back Beast Wars, whole new start... We've seen crazier, right?

I'd skip them just like I did when they aired. Most of them are available on heavily discounted DVDs and online.

Which ones? I'm pretty sure RiD doesn't have a Region 1 release and I can't find many complete seasons of Unicron trilogy online. Beast Wars DVDs are also quite expensive...

Anyway I'd support Beast Wars being put back on the air. It definitely deserves to be re-aired just as G1.
