i making this thread after i read this one
    http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/trans...on/472112-tf4-hollywood-stock-exchange-2.html

so how u would feel if a fourth film is truly beign made?

i would still see it, but i would not be happy, because You know ALL Cons are dead so whats the point of continue without the main cons like Megatron, Starscream and Soundwave

also because i wanted the third movie to be the final film, one of the reasons i was excited for the third movie it was because it was said to be the final film thus we would see the long awaited final battle of the Autobots and Decepticons

so yeah i do not want truly a fourth movie but i would still see it

Honestly, if they want to make more movies, I would prefer them to wait at least six years, and then do a full reboot. Concentrate on TFP and their "aligned continuity" for a good while, and then do a new movie. Continuing the current movie continuity wouldn't be a good idea, imho. I don't see where it could go from here, and it would just make more plot holes and further deepen the many that already exist within the "story".

im going to call it now and say we will have TF4 by 2015. Id be happy because it would start a new trilogy with a lot of new characters as the slate is clean for the most part to take it anywhere.

Main Decepticons dead... so bloody what? We can just introduce other main Decepticons. The TF mythos is so rich; one could easily pick new antagonists.

They make perfect sense to the OP, who's the kind of person who would buy toys even if they aren't toys of stuff he's interested in.

I enjoy the movies, but to be honest, I would't like it if they made a fourth film. I would still go to the theaters and watch it, but I don't see what they could do. Megatron, Starscream, Shockwave, and all the main cons are dead. They could bring in Unicron, but I don't think that would translate well into the movies. I would much rather prefer a reboot, but I don't think that is going to happen. Paramount and Hasbro just want more money and they know people will still go see the movie and buy the toys.

If they treat the robots as characters rather than special effects, I'll bite.

As for the plot, they could always take the season 3 route and make it more futuristic and use the season 3 Cons as the bad guys. Doesn't matter if you make Galvatron a standalone character that isn't a reformatted Megatron. If the movies proved anything, it's that Joe Public doesn't know anything about the TF mythos anyway.

I agree that they should wait a little bit before they make another. I think after Transformers Prime is over (depending on the quality of the next few seasons) that it should get the live action treatment. The only thing I think they should do different in that though would be to replace Miko with Sari Sumdac possibly.

This is the perfect opportunity to bring in unicron. The story should be that Unicron brings the decepticons back to life and darken them. It could be based on the animated movie, too!

I'm not begging for another movie(s), but I'd gladly welcome it.

I would like a new series with all new people (director, writers, actors). I wouldn't even mind if they used new Transformers. This is probably going to get flamed, but they could abandon Prime/Bee and Megatron/Scream altogether, and I'll still watch it.

That being said, if they just kept on doing what they're doing, I'd still watch it. You know that it's going to happen. Look at toy shelves nowadays, Legos, Spiderman and Transformers are the toys that never go away while every comic book movie, Halo, GI Joe comes in for a while and then goes away.

Until that trend stops and the financial success curve of the movie reverses, they're not going to stop making Transformers movies. The third one was the most successful one by a huge margin. They have to COMPLETELY run it into the ground and ruin the franchise before they'll walk away.

I would love to see a fourth movie, but I think it's time to move on from the Bayverse.

Time for G1 style! (One can only hope...)

I honestly want a damn break from the movies. Mostly because of toys. I want more Prime and Classics toys and I don't want another movie to get in the way of that.
