Step 1: Paint Cyclonus' face black. Step 2: Drill a hole in the hand without the hole. Step 3: Give him a random pair of swords. Maybe Animated Leader Megatron's swords. Step 4: Push his thighs against his knees so he is kind of leaning over and then move the legs back so he stands with the Animated shape leg. I don't really get why people want an Animated Cyclonus when Universe Cyclonus is almost the exact same but if anyone wants to try that and post some pics of the results then that would be cool.
Maybe it's because I don't want to have to deface a perfectly good Universe Cyclonus? An Animated Cyclonus will have different features than the Universe one, even if they are similar. Animated Rodimus and Classics Rodimus are also similar, but side by side, you will see a big difference with very different animated style and proportions. On top of that, it would be kick ass to have an Animated stylized version of his bad self. I hope they make that bad bot (or should I say 'Con?) real soon (along with Wheeljack, Perceptor, Rodimus and Arcee). Nice customizing idea, but I'll pass. Just my 2 cents.
Hi Sportimus! I'm a big fan of your reviews. I thought about how the Animated version is differently stylized but after watching Transwarped again and looking at the toy I don't feel the differences are great enough to have a whole different toy. I know a few people here are crazy about having an Animated Cyclonus so I just thought of that idea. Besides, the Universe version is an absolutely fantastic toy so I don't see the need for an Animated version.
Apart from painting the figure, and drilling his left fist, the interested party should must DE-NOSE their Universe Cyclonus. Meaning - you must remove his nose.
It's something I immediately noticed. The two are the same mold. Although the animated version should be a bit more stylized. That's actually quite simple. Fill up any detail or sand it away. Give it a flat base color and yes, do everything you said. Voila! Animated Cyclonus. As soon as I get my hands on one I will be doing that. iDD
I'm one of those people who thinks an Animated version of Cyclonus would be nice, but isn't absolutely essential considering his excellent Universe toy.
He has a nose, it's just covered by a nose-guard design that drops down from his helmet. (like old spartan helmets)
This. If anyone wants to try making Animated Cyclonus from Uni. Cyclonus, I'm all for you. But frankly, I actually like Universe's design over the simplified Animated style for Cyclonus myself, the over-complexity of his detail seems to suit the Galvatron-boot-kissing Con.
Personally, while I do see the similarities between he two Cyclonus's, I honestly think that Animated CC deserves his own toy. It's probably not going to happen, but one can hope.

Its sounds about right, the animated model from the cartoon seems based off the Universe toy. But alas I haven't got the toy yet, so can't try.
