It isn't actually Amazon doing it - Amazon has a "marketplace" where other sellers can sell items, and that's where you're seeing "reissues" that aren't legit.

Amazon doesn't seem to actually care if people use their marketplace to sell knock-offs of anything. It has been a huge problem for consumers in the US.

It's hard to tell if it's a KO just from pictures.

If its a "reissue" G1 figure in original looking packaging (and is not the recent Walmart reissues) its a KO. All the legit reissues have modern packaging.

That makes sense, but I was more referring to loose figures, that may not have packaging.

    Hi.
I recently found this toy. I bought it from one toy collector but apparently this could be a fake one?

    Thanks for help.

Can you guys point me in the right direction for KOs of MP Sunstreaker and MP 2.0 Megs? I bought the opened, mangled, and re-taped "C9 grade case fresh" versions recently off of TFSource unfortunately and want to make doubly sure they are legit.

    Cheers.

I would assume everything on ioffer is KO/fake.

If it's G1, easiest way to know is if the reissue is from Walmart or Bigbadtoystore it's authentic and if it's from eBay or AliExpress, Show Z it's moremthan likely a K0.

Hello, I just got a Henkei Thundercracker but I think it might be a KO. The seller sold this figure as original but once that I took it out of the package I noticed that its missiles didn't stay in place and constantly fell off, are the ones in the original Henkei Thundercracker so floppy?

TFSource does not sell KOs. If your packaging was mangled you should return it for another one. Mangled packaging can happen to any toy, legit or KO.

Fair, but if I pay for something extra for the peace of mind I expect it to be what I paid for and not have to go out of my way to ship it back; I am specifically paying that extra to avoid all that nonsense... Why the hell am I paying extra for that "service" if it isn't being done lol?

I am glad you have had great dealings with them enough to stick up for them though, but if I can't trust them to simply send what was advertised, how can I trust the figures aren't KOs?

Jesus, dude. Stores don't intentionally send out damaged stuff. Just email them and they'll give you a return label and you can ship it back.

Beyond that, damaged packaging doesn't make something a KO. You sound like you have an axe to grind. Ship it back or don't, but don't make things up.

Could someone take a look at this Optimus Prime I just won on Ebay and see if it looks like a legit G1 Prime or a KO/reissue. I have a lot of anxiety so any help would be appreciated. I just bought it so I don't have the figure in hand yet.

Some things I noticed which makes me think it's may be real:

The box has no gray border above the trailer.
Ravage is not cut off on the back of the box.
The instruction book looks more vibrant.
The wheels on Optimus have a ball thing holding it on.
The front wheels don't stick out like on the Ultra Magnus version.
The legs have a wide stance.

    YouTube (Legacy):
Sorry I cannot be more definitive...but I can only provide differences I see...the lower left grid pattern seems to be "different" as well as it seems there may be more canvas background based on the right side cut off adjacent to Optimus' arm. I don't know what is what...and if you have a re-issue I guess that's legit...but maybe not G1 G1...etc
