Today I got a great idea while browsing RC ERTL's website.
Being one who builds model kits, I waited for any model kit company to finally release a kit version on the new 06 Camaro. Now AMT(RC ERTL) has finally done so and I can't wait to get my hands on this kit. It will be released in November 2006 under their "Muscle Car" plastic model kit line. Its Item# is "38467."
    Here's the link:

He'll be a perfect movie bumblebee with a little paint and some racing stripes!

Then, cut it up and use to make a robot version.

I was expecting a storm of, then set it on fire, stomp on it, destroy it, then superglue the shards together to make robot mode, replies from all the 'I hate the movie designs' crowd.

Nevermind, this thread is young, it could still happen.

    Damn good idea BTW

NO! NO! you FOOL! It's take the car, make a perfectly GOOD robot design, THEN run it through the scrap shredder and glue it together!

Don't pretend to know the thoughts of the 'haters' without first understanding the angle we're coming from! :p

I was thinking the same thing, but smash it with a hammer instead of running it through the scrap shredder.

But your idea's good though. :p

I wish ya the best of luck... but I doubt that making a movie TF from BB is possible without some shape-shifting from some of the exterior body panels.

We'll see if any TF'ing videos are releas- er, I mean leaked.

While The movie versions may not be my favorite things in the world, one hasta admit that if BB truly transforms without some exterior shape-shifting, then the engineering and design is to be admired.

Good advice... but have they heeded it yet? I don't think they're interested. It's easier to stalk and dog posters and call them names for not bowing to the thrown of Don Murphy.

Last night, I finally made a decision that will make my reading / posting here a bit more pleasurable: I finally started making use of the "ignore"option.

Want to make a movie BB ?
Give this model to Michael Bay & co. along with a blowtorch, hammers and a lot of pipes. Give them a few days and you got your movie BB.

    :p

Indeed... why do the hater-baiters always take that tone of superiority? Like, only their more mature and highly evolved sensibilities are capable of comprehending the stark "practicality, realism, and credibility" of these unrecognizable and dubious supposed re-imaginings of classic cultural icons.

There are immature flame-and-baiters on either side, but those of us who choose to spurn these radically different new designs are completely capable of basing our opinions on solid reasoning and evaluation.

    Plus, they suck. ;)

Not to mention hammering your opinions home at every possible opportunity (I've even seen it in threads in fanart). This thread is a perfect example; someone posts about a car model that'd make a nice movie Bumblebee model, andlook whathappened.
It's getting ridiculous. And that is why so many people, including me, are fed up with it.

That is what annoys me the most about a lot of the anti-movie rants.

If you don't like the movie designs, then great, express your discontent in relevant threads. Otherwise it's just trolling and should be treated as such.

And don't pull the "free speech" card when someone calls you out for it or counters you opinion. Your right to freely express your opinion does not preclude my right to disagree with you or call out any BS I see.

    QFT Draven and HyperGeek_1984

I've noticed that particularly irksome trend myself. And it's usually always the same people too. It would be nice for1 movie thread to stay on track

This thread is totally off topic and I just have that old sinking feeling that sooner or later some one is going to see something in here they don’t like and flip out so I’m just going to lock it now.

If one of the other mods think I jumped the gun then by all means reopen it. :)
