I say add Transformers as an NPC Race. It has been some 200 years since humans have been in space. Then Have the Transformers be the smaller Maximals or Predicon Races. ....Just my wish ;) :thumb

Nope, that would be pretty bad.

Randomly mashing 2 series that have almost nothing in common doesn't make much sense. (This is why the Halo + TF thread is bad too).

Good God some people are obsessed. Seriously, just adding Transformers to everything does not make it better. In 99% of these cases, it has an overwhelming potential for failure. Stop trying to mix and match. Save it for fan fiction for christs sake.

Replace all the Krogan with Ewoks, but have them keep the same attitude, and I will buy the entire trilogy over again. Even 3.

    Its nice to want things.

Transformers will likely always be my primary nerd love, but it is in no way a strong enough science fiction franchise to even try and mingle with Mass Effect in terms of scope, story, and knowledge depth of the universe.

Hell, we know more about Turians, Salarians, and Krogans in five years than we do about Cybertronians as a race in almost thirty. ...and that's kind've a damn shame.

i think Transformers could POTENTIALLY be "hard sci-fi" enough to fit within a universe like Mass Effect

to force a crossover would definitely *feel* forced but the IDW comics actually have made mention of a "galactic council" quite a few times within their universe. I've tossed around story ideas where Enforcers like Ultra Magnus are pretty much Spectre's and all that [which really, they practically are]

I dunno if id want a direct crossover, but bringing certain elements from the Mass Effect lore into the TF universe is most definitely something I would love to see happen. Making Transformers more "sci-fi" and less "saturday morning cartoon"

If Transformers were in Mass Effect, they would presumably class as Synthetics (ie, like the Geth) so then I'm guessing NOBODY on these boards would ever contemplate... ugh.

picking the Destroy ending. ('OMG! YOU KILLED BUMBLEBEE! YOU BASTARDS!'[/southpark]) Even when faced with the 100% certainty of Shepherds death...

See how considerate I am, I even went to the trouple of spoiler tags for this thread, for all those people who haven't played ME. Now make me a mod. I deserve it for being such a damn Paragon.

Makes as much sense as shoving them in with Halo or the Avengers.

I'm more partial to a Mass Effect/Sex And The City crossover myself.
