If that's the case, RID Scourge has a distinct advantage due to already having a sword. :D

I like to think RID Scourge really likes wizards, plays D & D and listens to Manowar.

Considering that the TF fanbase were the ones who gave us "TRUKK NOT MUNKY", "GEEWUN", and "RUINED FOREVER" I don't think that matters.

RID Scourge is alot cooler and completely superior to G1 Scourge.

He would whoop G1 Scourge's ass up and down Cybertron

So let's boil it down to the heart of the matter here.. OP would you doom us all to another soulless boring release of nemederp prime? And if so, why? These are the questions that demand answers!

If there can't be two Scourges, than I suggest that every character that has the same name have to be renamed! Oh wait, that's PRACTICALLY EVERYONE IN THE SERIES.

the lantern head you're talking about is what I call sweepatron and the guy from cybertron is what I call flameburst, the real scourge is from robots in disguise

    SWEEP NOT TRUKK?

Personally, I didn't grow up with RID. I grew up with Armada. Therefore I have no attachment to Black Convoy's dub name. Nor do I have any attachment to Wizard Sweep either. But when I do think of Scourge, I go to Wizard Sweep first. Just because he was the first time I saw the name used. /shrug

You uh... do realize that when you get your black repaint of RTS Prime, regardless of what its name is, it will look exactly the way you're expecting it to look, and thus the name won't affect it at all?

And also that you can call it whatever you want?

And also that it's kind of a mediocre mold to have such a 'big' campaign based around it?

And also that black repaints aren't very imaginative to begin with?

no it isn't at all, it's a good toy that MUST be repainted into scourge (read mah sig)
imagination is unnecessary if it looks badass

I just don't understand, I thought it was explained pretty clearly by now.
*beats head on keyboard till brains spill on desk*
It has nothing to do with G1, nothing to do with Cybertron, nothing to do with what "scourge" is fake or real, sweeps, jungle planet or gun heads..

It is a reallllllllly simple issue of a name on a repaint that links two previous toys that shared the same mold.

Sigh.. I am sad again :(

On a side note, it does make it harder when you can't see part of the conversation.
