heres a small walkthrough on dissasembling starscream for custom 1.a small phillips screwdriver pointier the better 2.scratch paper and pencil to remember all the parts.WRITE IT DOWN AS YOU GO 3.large work station STEP ONE.Take off all small wings and missiles STEP TWO.remove both legs at hips(2 screws on each side STEP THREE.dissasemble the legs(5 screws each)the knee screw is shorter than the rest.pop out the loops and take apart the legs.be careful as there are small parts connecting the gears that can get lost.make sure to write the steps down or you could assemble the legs wrong.10 parts per leg. STEP FOUR.remove the arms.(3 screws each) remove the 2 screws on the shoulder then the 1 screw on the upper arm.I would not reccomend removing any more screws on the arm.The gears and parts inside the launchers can get frustrating. STEP FIVE.remove the head and nosecone. the head is simple enough 1 screw on the back turns into 3 pieces.the nosecone is optional to take apart 2 screws on the tip to remove the rubber tip. The rest of the body should be left as is for painting.Taking that apart is rather difficult and alot of parts dont come off. STEP SIX.painting. i recommend painting one piece at a time .The legs can be slightly reassembled for painting but make sure they are fully dry before reassembling as the gears will stick if paint is wet.as i stated earlier Write it down step by step or you may get lost. The legs can cause a headache if assembled wrong.(reversed or the leg loop put on backwards) p.s. when painting the missiles keep the paint thin or they will not lauch properly or only paint half the missile Just reverse the steps for reassembly and that should do it.
