Can anybody please tell me how and what I need to correctly connect a Cisco 2100 Cable Modem from Time Warner Cable to a 60GB PlayStation 3?

I need to connect the console to the Internet in order for it to receive updates and access the PlayStation Network.

Or do I need a wireless router?

Ethernet cables all have the same ends/plugs. Thats what makes them ethernet cables.

Maybe youtube could offer a more detailed walkthrough.

Will you have other devices connected to the internet other than your PS3? Like a PC?

If so, if you only have a Modem and not a router / modem combo. Then yes i Suggest getting a router

Wireless or not depends on your setup

Then just go through the wireless set up you don't need to add anything just because it's a ps3.

Even I would also suggest for the same thing. If the internet is to be attached with the laptop and not the PC then a wireless set up would be better which would connect all the other devices.

Nothing. Just giving you an example of what the connection on the Ethernet cords would look like.

Would a Belkin Wireless G USB Network Adapter connected to the modem via a USB A Female to Type B Male Adapter work?
