As far as I know, the preview images is taken from the first pic you upload.
For this reason I don't believe it is changeable.

Correct. So be mindful of what pic you upload first. The first pic that is uploaded will be your category image....we no longer have the option to manually "pick" the image you want....

Could you possibly just delete all your images and then reattach them in the order you wish. Being mindful of course of your first selection!

Yes, I do believe this method would work too.

Nope. You'll need to ask a mod to do it for you, which is unfortunate. That's why I liked the pre-upgrade forum better. There was ultimately more control with maintaining threads.

I just ran into that problem about 2 minutes ago... Wish I woulda read this first! lol The preview pic on my new w.i.p. thread makes it look like they let George Lucas Direct the new movie!

I too liked it better the old way, but I'll get used to it

except that now it's a hundred times easier to post images and make 'em show up full-size in your post, you get multi-quote, you can go to first unread replies (instead of only first or last reply), your subscribed threads show up in your userCP along with all your TFW2005 ones, a more robust frontpage, an easier to use sidebar, etc, etc. :)

In all honesty, If you play your cards right, you shouldn't really need to keep renaming your thread titles anyway.

That's why I'll only post "WIP" instead of update tidbits in the thread title.

actually i found a way to get the right new pic on the main page... put it in the attach section (first post) and then edit your first post and use programs like imageshack to host your previous pictures and then copy the link to the firstpost... that way you have all of your previous images and you can put your latest on the main page !

it,s a bit more bitchy but works fine !

except that violates the rules, man. that's no easier anyways, than just deleting and re-uploading your attachments, with your new pic uploaded first so it becomes the thumbnail.

but you can put allot more pictures that way... anyway when it,s done i,ll have them remove and put it clean and nice.. the way the system is now complicates things a bit... when things changes i,ll be more then happy to use the system ;)

the upload limit is 20 images man. It's not really common for a thread to need more than that.
