I part-time teach first year undergraduate students physics, part-time gobble up government welfare payments and part-time eat up scholarship money. 95% of my time is spent doing coursework and research for my physics honours. Even with those 3 sources of income I still get dick all so I only really buy TFs when I find a huge bargain. I got my tricks for getting TFs cheap (for instance, stop caring about minor accessories), buy in bulk etc. It also helps that I've been pretty much collecting for 20 years and absorbed all of my brothers into my collection.

I'm a programmer/QA engineer for a Macintosh software company. Yep, a paid geek. I pay the bills, tuck a bit away into savings, and spend the rest on toys. I was broke as a kid, so I'm making up for it now. :)

    I'm assuming you mean 'Master'
Surely to be a master, you have to have some basic knowledge as to the subject?

Also, to afford it, Patience, save the cash bit by bit, it makes getting that special TF even more amazing!
    That, or get a job.
My Easter Part time job (In a restaurant) has funded about 80% of my Movie shopping list so far.

The first pic is the Empire State Building in the center. The third pic is lower Manhattan (World Trade Center).

I'm a dentist, with a fairly young solo practice. Still learning the ropes of being the boss. I make sure everyone else (staff, bills, etc) is taken care of, and toss a few extra bucks here and there into my habit. I try to watch what I buy, and only pick up the toys that interest me. May

    QFT.

I manage a movie theatre. For the past couple years, it hasn't had much to do with my collection but this year....

This is kinda kool, learning what it is that everyone does for a living on the boards, lots of really kool jobs!

Nice to see someone doing the same thing I do, kinda. I started out as a DJ in a strip club while I was going to school, Engineering Design if anyone's interested, but somehow ended up running the club instead, go figure. I can't bitch, the money's better than what I would be making as an engineer, and the owner has been one hell of a mentor to me. I've learned a lot about running a business in general, and most likely when this ride's over I'll be set up to have my own business doing whatever it is that I decide to do, instead of just punching a time clock at some faceless corporation waiting for retirement (no disrespect intended).

As far as what I spend... it depends, I've kinda slowed down now that I've broken the 200 mark, but OCD won't let me quit. Looking forward to MP Megatron and Mp3 Soundwave and really enjoy Alt Rumble and Ravage, I still got the bug I just enjoy finding those hard to find figures now rather then just buying every TF that I see.

I don't know... I think you have to have your priorities.

House first... And then toys. You have to have a place to keep them!

I quit my art jobs to be a mortgage broker, Six figures a year helps, I spend every dime I make on freelance art jobs on TF's, robots, and my car. I dont spend near as much as I used to since my wife quit her job to be a stay at home mom. Having dual income was awesome, my money was my money. But soon I am quiting to stay home and my wife is going back to work, it'll give me the chance to work on my art portfolio again and get back to freelancing. It didn't pay as well but I was much happier. i just hope I can maintain collecting. I am not getting any movie merchandise so I think I will be OK.

I need to work on my artistic portfolio too. It's been almost an entire year since I didn't paint or draw anything. And it's not that the urge is not there, it's just the time.

In school now, working on becoming a Physician Assistant. A little too much goes on the cards right now, but I'm definitely counting on money I'll make after graduation. Year and a half left!

Before this, did some time overseas, where it's easy to save up the money--no real expenses, and not going out on the weekends helps a lot.

I work for the local council. My "official" job is to make our documentation available to the public over the internet, but I also provide phone cover for secretarial, maintenance of the machinery and copiers, stationery procurement, and make one damn good cup of tea.

Not glamourous by any means, but it pays fairly well, enough that I can keep my collection going and save plenty for a place of my own someday soon, if I can find someone to share with. I've got someone in mind already, if they will agree to it.
