Personally I would like DOTM to be very successful, both in the box office and in the writing.

I'm hoping for an oscar win this time and recognition as one of the best Bay films in a long time.

James Camerons Avatar will be talked about forever. Now if DOTM reaches as much attention as Avatar did, that would be very pleasing. I'm fully aware many of you don't like Avatar but I suppose I could compare it to maybe as great as Jurassic Park 1 or Terminator 2.

    We'll see. .

I want DOTM to be a success at the box office, be a better success than ROTF in the very least.

I wan this movie to break box office records, have a great story, and have great action.

I want to have the reason to watch it again once I get it on Blu-ray.

I want it to be better than Rotf but equal or better than the first. I don't think it will be award winning masterpiece (unless it mtv or kids choice awards)just because it a movie about a toy line.

Come on; after ROTF's huge financial success, is there really any doubt this movie's going to be a box office hit? I'm more worried about the plot, pacing, and content. I'd like DOTM to at least get fair reviews, have a comprehensible story, good pacing, editing, acting, etc., and content that is not too inappropriate for the franchise's target audience.

But maybe that's too much to ask.

You sir, don't deserve your the air you're breathing right now.

    On the topic:

How I hope that it will be: Big badass Box Office, REALLY BIG to outcross the two previous movies.
On critics, good receptcion [something like 77% on Rotten tomatoes, although Rotten Tomatoes suck, but you got my point].

What I'm starting to think that it will be: Big box office, but lesser than ROTF [obviously big than the first movie], but critics will love it and the movie will become somewhat of a classic/cult movie.

I'm starting to think that because the reception the movie has been overwhelmingly positive until now [I mean, Critics who watched 20 minutes of the movie got out jaw dropped, everyone is loathing the movie after the spoilers leak, etcetera], but ROTF just had more hype and less "Box Ofice enemies" [Dark of the Moon VS On Stranger tides VS Captain America will be one hell of a tough match].

I want it to be Casino Royale Successful. People expect to see a normal same thing kinda set up and then BOOM!! something very different then the previous films that catches people off guard, in a good way.

Me? I'd want it to gross higher than Revenge of the Fallen, and get atleast 60% at Rotten Tomatoes. But mostly, I just want this one to be my favorite.

I would like it to receive favorable reviews that are complimentary of Bay's efforts to make it a good film. I'd also like it to receive recognition for advancing CGI and digital effects in the movie industry. (I'm assuming/hoping that the film will do these things nonetheless). I'm hoping it is the "next step" in 3D and has a giant box office due to people having to see it because of the 3D (which is why Avatar had such huge numbers).

If it gets decent reviews, I'll be happy.
Financially speaking, I have no doubt that it will do fine.

    Honestly? I don't care.
As long as the movie can convince me and give me a worthy end to the Bayverse it's all fine. (Which means that the level of ROTF should not be aimed at.)

I want DOTM to beat everyone at the box office including Harry Potter. I work at my local movie theatre so I get to see first hand who might win that battle. It's gonna be interesting.

^ I already know we're not beating Harry Potter. :\ I mean, last movie, end to a decade-long film series, pretty much the end of Harry Potter (besides the theme park) being continuously pumped into the public eye... and Part I grossed a few million dollars short of a billion.

But, I would prefer the film outgross ROTF, not neccesarily OUT OF THE WATER outgross, but a good distance between the two films. Maybe 20-40 million more then ROTF.

If it was plausible, let the film come within spitting distance of a billion. $980 million? I am fairly certain DOTM will not gross a billion plus, since it's hard to do as it is (Toy Story 3 made a billion two months after release, Dark Knight reached a billion with its' re-release the following January, to name just two cases).

I'd like it to be successful enough at the box office to spur a reboot somewhere in the future, but not so successful that we are stuck with Bumblebee's radio speak or Starscream's design in the future. Kind of hard to guess what the box office will be like because Revenge of the Fallen almost had the summer all to itself given the bad films that came out that summer. But not only is there potentially good films out this summer but putting Potter in 3D means that Dark of the Moon will lose a lot of those screens.

Story, yes more than anything else I want a good story. Even if it wasn't a good Transformers story I'd still be pretty happy with a good science fiction story. With a horror writer on the script who knows we might even get great movie villains.

I think the Oscars will be the technical awards. From the 3D trailer it looks like Bay has a good handle on using 3D and with it being the last of his Transformers series perhaps the voters will cough up that Best Special Effects award this time.
