    Hellow thar :)

Ive been away from TF from a while now and was wondering if anyone knew how rare or common each or any binaltech toy was? Ive tried looking on ebay but the price is too spread apart to know which ones are more or less rare/common than the other.

Any info is appreciated. Im curious cause i need to scrounge up money to visit family and the plane cost hurts ;x

PS. hello to the pple i know

I think there was a Binaltech Red Alert that was pretty hard to find, but I'm not 100% sure.

Rijie (BT-18) is harder to find also.

Nothing will cost youmore then the black wonderfest convoy (Scourge as some call him) He is on todays level a $700+ figure in MISB status.

Red Meister (Jazz) also used to be a few hundred but has come down a bit.

BT-17 Black Convoy and BT-18 Rijie Electro-Disruptor Mode were both exclusives and produced in much smaller numbers, so they are naturally harder to find.

As far as retail release Binal Tech figures, none of the rest of them are "rare", but several aside from the Tracks, Swindle, and Hound can be harder to find at times. If you're shopping, the best thing to do is play the waiting game, and shop around for some deals on either eBay or the Junkion Exchange.

White Meister was harder to find than the red version for some reason (maybe most people wanted a white Jazz rather than a red one), but I don't know if that's still true.

a few more things to know and watch out for

    Wheeljack will cost 150-200
Prowl has been KO:ed ( knocked off) so be weare so you dont get a fake.
Autotropper, Rodimus and I belive one more are not having die cast. Some think they belong to the Bt line some others dont, your choice.
BTA- have diecast and just have a diffrent box and a little girl driver aswell.

If you are thinking about transformign them forward and backwerd alot of times the I suggest you leave the BT:s alone and go for the plastic ones from HAsbro. THe BTs are heavy and to much transforming them will make joints easaly loose and might chip paint apps here and there. If you are only gogint o display them then BT is alot more beutiful then alts.

    my 2 cents

That's probably the case, since Alternators and Binal Tech were THE "updates" at the time. The red Meister was named "Zoom-Zoom" by Mazda as well. I'd think these two reasons would lead to the white Meister being less abundant on the secondary market, as the BTs were released in a 50:50 ratio in their respective cases.

EDIT - Scratch that.....just seen a KO BT Skids now!

I'd say the Black convoy and E-hobby mirage given their limited edition status. But out of the regular editions maybe Jazz Maybe Smoke Screen to some extent I know some people will pay extra to get Smokey with Peter Solsberg's number

The KO's are very cheap too. I just bought a KO BT Shockwave for $12. Be warned though, the quality is really less than the originals. The joints that connect the arm to the body pop off very easily on Shockwave.

I have to say, just get the Alternators if you have a choice. I actually prefer my alternator to my Binaltech. Granted I only have one Binaltech but it is more finicky to transform and all.

The one thing that is nice on the binaltech is the weight of them. But that is also what causes them to be finicky and not stay together too well during transformation.

They stand fine. It is the transformation that is finicky. I only have The Kiss Red Alert. The tabs don't go together too well so the alt mode is not quiet together.

The same mold for other figures I have in the Alternators line are fine though.

I've seen Zoom Zoom sell for $65-75 loose recently. Not that hard to find.
