My thoughts exactly. This is literally the only part of the forum I visit now, except when there's some MP news on the front page, then I venture the official news forum :p

    anyway, 31 and counting :)

33 here. Have to wonder. What kind of a market will third parties have once us G1ers are older and possibly not buying toys anymore? (Notice I said possibly) What toys will they be developing and for what generation? It's like the gold rush for them since we're at the prime age for nostalgia.

I'll be 35 in a week. I voted 26-35, but in a week I'll have to change it. LOL.

Beast Wars homages, probably. Some have already started to tease it. And then beast machines, maybe RID, then Armada/Energon/Cybertron etc etc.
As long as they keep making new Transformers series, there will pretty much always be someone who grew up with one specific series and feels the nostalgia. :)

Oh please no, ANYTHING but Beast Machines that series just rubbed me the wrong way and I never had a single friend in elementary school that even remotely liked that series.........(Although we all agreed that Jetstorm was the only remotely good character left and carried the series for as long as he could)

Yeah, but what if someone made really nice, well scaled show-accurate Beast Machines figures?

I'm 33. Not until a couple years out of college, in a longterm, career oriented job did I feel even remotely comfortable spending this much on toys.

Unless they were the Vehicon generals or Drones I wouldn't even consider it, most of the BM designs were ugly as heck. Remember poor Rattrap's fate?

Actually I wouldn't mind 3PC power ranger mecha, they never quite evolved out of the brick toy phase.

I would think somewhere from 16-25+ bracket honestly. I started collecting 3P stuff when I was about 22-23. And like Transbot said, some kids have wealthy parents.

I was 14 when I acquired City Commander (acquired, not bought. Long story). I'm 17 right now and have a decent amount of 3rd party items.

I'm 21. My first 3rd party thing I ever bought was City Commander not long after it came out and I remember thinking "Holy shit I just spent a whole 80 dollars on a toy!"

And now here I am a few years later with a big collection of 3rd Party TFs and all kinds of other action figures and I think my record is about $415 hahahaha.

If you want to count TFC Uranus as one toy, it'll probably end up stealing the top spot, at which point I suppose I will have come full circle.

I used to buy them regularly, but with the number of products increasing and my income shrinking (student loans, other obligations) - I'm a lot more picky now.

I'm going to have to sell stuff and budget well if I'm going to get Trailerforce, Hexatron, and Menasor.

(I own G2 Giant, the Insecticons, Colossus and the repaints, City Commander, Protector, Warbot Defender, Sonicron, both BTS tape sets, PE Kingbat, PErfect Effect Rumble/Frenzy, PE Eject/Rewind, PE Laserbeak/Buzzsaw, Igear's Kup set, the Quintesson Judge, the Gears of War set, and others - as I'm sure that I'm forgetting some).

I'm 28. I haven't been buying a lot of 3P lately. My latest two purchases was KM-03 Cyclops and TFC Iron Army.

Buying my handgun, ammo, range membership, and finding time to take gun safety classes for my Conceal and Carry permit has eaten up a lot of the funds I would generally use to buy toys of any kind, retail or 3P.
