For my transformers expenses, it depends on what's released. For certain months it can be as low as $50. In certain months it can go crazy like as high as $500 to $1,000. It's like I will get some crazy urge to buy reissues. E.g. I bought encore Omega, Predaking, Sky Lynx and Bruticus at one shot. Then went to EBay and got some vintage TFs. Sometimes, I will decide to get spares. Just the other day, I picked up the Asian exculsive DOTM Optimus and Jetfire 2-pack even though I have those 2 already.

The past month or so I went and got all the FE TFs other than deluxe Megatron, so I'm spending crazy money.

I think if I solely focus on TFs, I would be saving more cash but I'm into other lines like Marvel Legends, DC Universe, Neca, SOC, Joes and Star Wars. I'm scaling down on my expenses because my house is running out of space and I've no time to even open some of my toys. E.g. I finally opened some of my older Henkei figures after more than 2 years of first purchasing them! LOL!

Oh, man, I feel like a bastard living in Oregon. You could bottle our tap water and sell it as purified, it's so good.

Wing Saber X: That wasn't you? lol hahaha sorry dude.

She collects those dolls some of the guys here are talking about.

If she collected TFs and kept them MISB, I'd probably lose it in the house.

    edit:

    Ah here we go. lol

I hope she'd shoryuken me less for going over budget while showing posts here. :D

Yeah that one. Seriously. Too many of those here.

Here's a pic of the wife's collection so far. She learned to dislike "repaints" No more gloom or skull shore.

There's a Walmart here swimming in cupid MH doll as well.

I consider the asking price for Henkei Dirge and Thrust as an act of extortion. I still bought them, along with other figures I thought were overpriced at the time.

Most I've ever spent on 1 TF is $75 and I try not to spend more than $40 on any one paycheck. Unfortunately all the TF's I want that are under $40 I now have. All the rest are from $50 - $250 so... I'm gonna have to start saving one way or another.

Depends, but usually it's 1-2 times per year that I spend more than 60 USD on a single purchase.

It's usually a high end MP release, a huge batch of mainline figures or a macross\hot toys predator figure.

If I had just transformers and could resist mainline figures, focused only on MP figures, I doubt I'd edge over 500 USD *ANNUALLY*.

I usually wait for a major Optimus Prime purchase after I get my Xmas and Bday $$$$$.

I can hold onto to the $$ for quite a while, just bought 1 Optimus this weekend. About 6 mos. after I rec'd the $$.

Then I know I'm not burning a hole in my wallet...just buying my own gifts.:thumb

Having 3 kids and buying tf it's gotton kind of hard latley.I have become way more selective on buying tf recently to the point where I wait for awhile until a really good deal comes along for my mp and 3rd party.

I suppose I should say that this is why I'm glad to not be a more 'hardcore' collector. Other than stateside retail releases (and none of those being MPs), the most I've ever spent on a single TF was $35 for a loose complete Botcon Elita. So yeah, unless a bunch of stuff hit retail at once, I don't think I could ever go too crazy.
