    Welcome to the boards!

I have spent easy 1/2hr + plus just looking around in my collection room before I realize the time thats gone by. I know exactly what you mean about looking at my collection as if I've never seen it before. I thought I was the only person that has done this. :)

I have my display cases in my rec room, right in front of my elliptical workout machine. I work out for 45 minutes, three or four times a week, so I'm always glancing at them. I have another set of toys at work, so that's 9 hours right there.

I mostly confine myself to the live-action figures that are in-scale with one another. Thus, my collection is not vast. I can look at them for about 5 minutes before I get nauseous.

Jk. I'm just a little nauseous right now for reasons I don't know.

I can spend hours. I'm a talk radio fan so I like to turn on a good show like Coast to Coast AM, grab a cold one, and just chill in the collection room and listen about ghosts and ufos.

I'm terrible when it comes to getting distracted by my plasticcrack collection...

I'd be doing something else in my room, Then (for some reason) I'll wander over to my shelves, I'll start re-arranging them, I'll become mesmerised by them, & before I know it - it's already been half an hour... :lol

    ^and this^

I spend quite a bit of time looking at my collection, my office doubles as my display room so usually any time I'm at home I'm in there. For having what i consider a large collection (600+) I can look at them and remember the story about how I got most of them. Last second bidding wars on eBay, hunting for weeks in the stores, driving for hours for store exclusives, etc. My wife likes to help me hunt so they're usually good memories. She's usually the one who will call around to all the TRUs, Targes, Walmarts to see if they have particular items in (especially exclusives), & then we drive together to go get them. She used to be a manager at WM so she'll call up and pretend she's on a "store to store" call for a customer & they're usually more apt to help so that another store manager don't call back and get them in trouble (social engineering for TFs lol).

See I'm doing it right now :)  It's usually more about the memories than the actual toy, I never even transform most of my TFs any more just open & display them.... enough typing, time to stare at my TFs some more lol

Not long. I get bored and get distracted by something else.

Most of my toys are in boxes now anyway. Only got a few things up, recent purchases or old favorites.

Few minutes, but on weekends and when I clean them, they get all day. My fiance has a bunch, sometimes we sit down on the floor and play against eachother.

I spend as much time as possible! Which with two kids isn't a heck of a lot of time, but I can quite happily sit and admire my TF (and other toy) displays when I get the chance!

I only have space to display about 30 Transformers at most at a time, the rest I have stored in their boxes so I tend to change my display every month or two so by the time I get through my 400 odd Transformers, its almost like getting it brand new when I put ones out on display that have been boxed up for years. A couple of months ago when i finally got Tigertron and Henkei Dinobot I got alot of my Beast Wars Transformers out that I had not looked at for years, same when I got Encore Sky Lynz and Omega Supreme then got all my G1 toys out to display with them and it was great to rediscover and enjoy looking at them and transforming them.

i do that. i also do it with my favorite music. ill listen to a song over and over and pretend that I'm letting someone who's never heard it listen to it.
