We back somewhere around 2008, I started counting all the figures that I've collected and it tallied up to around 1k. Fast forward to 2010 and goodness I've lost track. Shoot I don't think I even wanna know how much I've spent.

Before my current job, probably about $400-500. Since I've been working, probably enough to buy a whole Cadillac.
Which scares me now that I think about it.

    Wow that's a personal question....:lol

Way to much...I'm sure I can track through paypal & my creditcard. I have mitigated the damages through trades & sales. I've got some incredible deals in ebay lots that save me so much money or made me $ on resales. Trades also help because both parties improve their standings because of personal preference. Botcon pays for it self and more. Plus I barely spend money in the dealers room. I limit myself to trades at BotCon. I sell items to BBTS for store credit. I made 13-15 transaction for store credit or other figures (in person). I've learned patience & prioritize better. I have had a package come to the house for months. I only buy what I like and rarely regret not buying something upfront.

If you count JUST the Transformers it's a hard number to put together....if you count all the non-Transformer robots it goes up to insane levels I'd rather not cop to :p  Easily in the high 5 digits...

I counted mine earlier and had more than $3000 worth, more now when ROTF Nest figures were released. So far my collection's all TFTM, Classics/Universe, Animated, and Revenge of the Fallen.

I'm another one of those with a spreadsheet organised by line, with bottom and top end prices for each figure listed.

    Yeah I know...

Not knowing how much I've spent on my collection exactly, I can say that if I sold it all tomorrow for a reasonable mid-range price, it'd fetch around £8,000.

I have 45 mib G1s (including Fort Max, Shockwave, Trypticon, Roadbuster & Whirl) which contributes to that value, not to mention a completed Animated collection and lots of Henkeis.

Man I really need to get round to posting my pics on the collection thread.

    that's really very awesome!

that's about 4 dollars per figure on average.

i really need to find deals like that. or find more friends and relatives who respect my hobby and don't give me clothes for gifts. hehe. just kidding. i love them all.

as for my grand total spent,... it's too late in the day to think about this.. and not very inspiring...but i'll be back

Some of this is guesswork since I didn't start keeping track of my spending the first several years. I'd have to guess around 6-7 thousand since 2001. Maybe a little more and I only have around 500 bots or so. That's chump change to lots of people around here and a mediocre collection count to many also!

Plus I gotta say, I've had a lot of fun with my collecting so it was money well spent!

I've only been seriously collecting for about a year an a half and I TRY to tell myself I won't go over a budget of $100/month, but most months I end up somewhere in the $300 range (thankfully I'm not in debt or anything).

Doing the math and being conservative: 18 months x $200 = $3600, not including the G1s I still have from when I was a wee lad

I counted everything I own and have given to a friend (like 70 worth of stuff)

My guesses on minicons and g1 stuff from the hobby store.

My collection came to about $4613, although I'm not really all that sure.

I refuse to even think about adding up how much I've spent. It's a scary amount, I do know that.

Good question... I really don't know how much I've spent on TFs.... I'm sure that I have spent well over thousands of dollars on TFs... on a yearly basis, that is.
