no thats how much they costs at ioffer. try buying all of them that they made for the g1 ko reissues. i bought all of them except the newest sets so far. just 5 dinobots, shockwave, devastator, superion, is about 500.00. that is just about 10% of them. thats also the cheapest i found anywhere.

Collecting since 1984 but not spending my own money until 1986 when I started getting an allowance. Between stores, rummage sales, eBay, BotCons, online sellers...easily over $20K. There were a few BotCons where I spent over a grand just in the dealers room. I miss those days.

  geez that's a tough one, since 1986 I would say about $3k to $4k give or take a few that I lost or traded through the years.

its surely not hard to do, im still waiting for some of the misb or mib collectors from this site to respond. ive seen some g1 collections on this site with all other transformer generations mib or misb collections, transformers comics, all kinds of transformers collectibles on this site that looked "HUGE".

I collect all generations. And that figure is NOT counting the ones I had to sell a few years ago during a financial rough patch. My best moment was walking into an Asian import store in the Chicago area in 2001 and walking out $120 later with Brave Maximus.

You have to show your collection or is it on the collectors thread?

This question comes up about once every 6 months or so and my wife and I were just 'discussing' this tonight. Not including 1984-1987 since my parents spent all the money :thumbs2: , I'd say minimum $10,000 since 2001. I've also sold alot of them but that doesn't mean I didn't spend it. And that's peanuts compared to some of the other nuts around here. :lol

i was talking about others on here who has those jumbo size collection that ive seen in the pics here before. i myself just started 3 months ago collecting only misb items such as all takara g1 reissues, and all high quality ko reissues. so just those few approx: 25-30 transformers for me is about 4k-5k right now. there really isnt much to look at since im only getting misb g1 reissues. i will continue to buy every single g1 box style transformer release, reissue in the future.

It's kind of a depressing thing to think about. I have over 260 figures, which is probably average, and not all of them were bought at retail price. Just taking a very low ball average of ten dollars for each figure puts me well over two grand.

I'd rather not know. But since the collection is slowly build over a large period of time it really doesn't matter.

The amount of gas spent on the other hand...

Not that I've kept track, but there are some months where I top $300 in spendage, and some where I don't even break $50.

If I had to venture a guess, I'd say somewhere around $1500 on the low end. I've only been collecting seriously for a year and some.

I'd rather not know, but I'm gonna guess close to $2K.

Especially for a store exclusive, and that's if the first one you go to has it, still looking for Animated Arcee and Cybertron mode Ratchet and that's been after dozens of trips to various Toys R Uses.

BTW, if anyone needs an Animated Oil Slick I know where you can get more than half a dozen.

I am afraid to sit down and figure it all out. I want to say at least 1000.

    I don't like that question. :(

I'm not sure, but it's well over $1,000. Probably near or over 2k.
