^^yeah, that's about right. I bought a complete G1 OS from a local shop two months ago for $125, though the box was kinda beat up. Seems like there are auctions for Energon OS that routinely go for $50 or $60, plus shipping.
I would agree on those prices, but after seeing this auction, I'm not to sure now. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270091020673&ru=http%3A%2F%2Fsearch.ebay.com%3A80%2Fsearch%2Fsearch.dll%3Ffrom%3DR40%26satitle%3D270091020673%26fvi%3D1
That does look pretty minty. Though, the seller may be talking it up a bit more than it deserves. Plus, sometimes people will spend waaaay more on an item that is available as a lower priced BIN elsewhere on ebay.
I passed on a complete, working boxed one at a toy fair about a year ago. The guy hadn't been able to sell it for ages and was asking about $150 US.
If it's going to ebay, timing is everything. Some days you can sneak in and auctions will be reasonable, other times some toys will just bid through the roof for no apparent reason. The best you can do is hope that there are not many similar auctions at the same time, and hope someone gets bid fever !! Good thing I found my old one at the mother's house the other day....the box has a tear in it, but he's complete and all the electronics work. I even found the instructions in another box with a boxed Metroplex. I'll have to think about whether I really want to keep Omega or not.
Yeah, I actually got mine on the boards. The prices all over the place when you put ebay as a factor. Got mine for $130. Was suppose to be complete but it ended up missing one medium clip. Maybe I should PM the seller to see if he found it or not. Claims it fell out.
Yeah, I agree with the price range also. I got mine loose and complete for around USD$70 but I must stress that I got mine aound 2 years ago. I know Omega is kinda blocky but I found him a really cool toy! WIth regards to the auction price...its too high IMO.
