    Ebay:
I just started collecting this week. When I found out how poseable and accurate the classics were of the old G1's, I figured it was about time I buy my favorites.

    Given that I only had one Transformer as a kid (that motorcycle from outerspace which I broke 2 days later) and seeing as how the prices for these were reasonable, I went on a spending spree and got these;

Optimus Prime DVD Anni - $42 on ebay

    MP-05 Megatron (w/o orange tip) - $130 ebay

Soundwave TRU Reissue - $50 ebay

    Jetfire Voyager - $20 Target

    Rodimus CD - $12 AlphaSourceToys.com

    Bumblebee CD - $10 AlphaSourceToys.com

    Starscream CD - $14 AlphaSourceToys.com

    Grimlock CD - $12 HasbroToyShop.com

Devastator CD - $40 Walmart (had to, so what if he's a repaint he's way more affordable and poseable than the G1)

So that's a grand total of about $340. All prices include shipping and handleling. That's not too bad, but I still feel kinda guilty having dropped that much cash on toys in a week. I don't usually spend money on anything so it's kinda justified. Plus I had to practice some crazy self-restraint before I went overboard.

So what did you guys spend so far?

By the way: should I get the 6' Titanium Ultra Magnus? I was never a big fan of his and dont really want any more autobots, but this figure looks damn good.

I've probobly spent well over $4000 in my life time.

I still have to get MP-05, TRU Soundwave, Ramjet, Cliffjumper and WSTF Snarl.

Also, how are the sounds on your DVD Primes base? Do they sound staticy on yours?

I keep track of how much I pay for each figure but I'm scared of adding it up, it's several thousand at least.

Yeah...I'm up there in the thousands of dollars. Even with selling some of my collection, I'm still probably over the $2000 mark.

And that's just TFs. That doesn't take into account any of my Brave collection, Sentai, Kamen Rider, or Power Rangers (which is all, w/ the exception of PR, imported from Japan).
Too too too much money I've spent on my crap lol

    Within the past thirty days:

    $130.00 MP Megatron
    $80.00 Nike Label 7.0 Convoy & Megatron
    $30.00 Classics Devastator
    $20.00 Cybertron Wingsabre
    $15.00 G1 Bludgeon
    $4.00 G1 Dead End
    $4.00 G1 Dragstrip
    $2.00 WST Red Alert
    $2.00 MyClone Metroplex
    $2.00 MyClone Trypticon

Within the past year... probably well over a grand. This hobby is expensive. Not as expensive as the goth lifestyle or my PennCo tuition... but expensive.

Agreed. I don't even want to think about how much I've spent total since getting back into collecting but I know I've spent $472 on Classics alone (not counting the LoC or the Minicons)

I've been doing this since '95..with multiple toy lines...new and vintage. Even if I could add it all up, I'm sure the sum would...make me regret the far nicer car I could have bought.

Well over ten grand. :banghead:  I know cause I keep track of it. Might be a good thing. Might be a bad thing. But I know others that have spent much more than me. So whenever I feel like I spent too much, I look at those collectors and tell myself that I'm not that bad.:lolol

I know at each Botcon I easily can spend $200 just on oddities. There was a time where I spent $200 every other month, but expenses now don't allow me to do that. I'm really afraid to add it up, but definitely within a few thousand dollars.

Well, the only reason I know how much I've spent is b/c I've been going over my finances and such for tax purposes, what I did in 2006 etc. I started collecting transformers again in April of 06' and since then, including the MX-00 Unicron I just got in the mail on Friday, I've spent over $11,000, in a friggen year! I nearly shit myself b/c I never really took notice...I've lived cheap the last year making pretty good money, so that has made a HUGE difference, but I just dumped a few grand on a new place to live this week, so I must curb my TF collecting for a while..ya know a month or so lol

I haven't bought a single Transformer yet this year. (I don't think.) But just since the new year I've started getting into Macross. I've bought three "fullsized" Valks: 1/60 VF-0A, 1/48 VF-1J Stealth, and 1/48 VF-1S Hikaru "DYRL?". I've also bought series 2 of the Toynami 1/100 Valkyries and plan on buying either the 1/48 VF-1s Roy or Max from "DYRL?"... so, on just those few things, I've spent a ton. Around $500 already, and that's not counting the 1S I haven't purchased yet...

Probably 10k at least. That includes not only TF but all other toys I collect combined. It's a scary number and one that I don't like to think about. As long I can support my collection and not accumulate any debt I'll keep on buying.
