This what if Carly was all long a spy sent by the Quintessons

 

Considering you can so clearly see exactly how & where they shoehorned in the Carly character at the last minute after Megan was fired, I don't think the storyline would have changed at all. I'm confident that the original script simply had Mikaela getting a new job with Dylan and that everything that played out would have been exactly the same. But Megan got fired, so they simply added/changed a couple lines of dialogue, added the "Sam meets Carly" scene, and gave her a back story of working with Dylan for a while and being the sister of a British military dude who got killed in ROTF.

 

I'm amazed that so many people want Mikaela back. Megan Fox can't act for shit. If her thespian skills have shown improvement, I'd be fine with Mikaela reappearing. But this does not seem to have happened at all, nor do I predict it occurring anytime soon.

 

Neither can Rosie for that matter, given the subject matter and characters though skill is irrelevant.

 

I disagree, I think Megan can act, enough for an action movie, if she's given the chance. She was terrific in Love the Way You Lie. It's kind of difficult to act knowing the director is trying to rape you with his camera!

 

I say she did far better than Megan. And surely you don't think Transformers and its subject matter deserve little more than limited acting skills from an assigned cast.

Ah, you see, I would very much like a level of acting above that of a mere 'action movie'. Heaven forbid Transformers be relegated to such status.

 

And yet, she was excellent in Love the Way You Lie.

 

She was just making out with Eminem, I'm sure almost-porn isn't hard for her.

 

Obviously you never really watched the video. And she's getting raves for her role in Passion Play, and then she's going to be in a Judd Apatow comedy that is sparking interest. The girl can act, and she can act a hell of alot better than Rosie, (Megan's terror at being dropped on top of a helicopter in TF1 was more convincing than Rosie's terror at being trapped in Soundwave) and Mikaela is and will always be the better character in the Transformers movies over that fluff Carly.

 

Megan would have asked for sam back after he got the medal from POTUS but Sam was a changed peerson and hes all popular now and carly and megao have a mudwrestling mat g to the death just for you guys in the audience)

 

I ignore 90% of the non-military human stuff anyway so they could have had a ham sandwich in place of either of them and I would not have noticed or cared.

 

I meant that in regards to being a hot girl stuck in a Michael Bay film, he shoots women like he does cars...which I don't mind. I think Shia does a great job, he really anchors the series as an every mans guy. I'll say this too Rosie plays a better sweetheart then Megan and she was more believable in that role and considering it was her first movie she did great.

Because Mikaela wouldn't have called Megatron "Sentinel's b****", although, like someone else said before, I think that is more something Mikaela would do rather than Carly.

 

I think Megan would've been far better then RHW. Megan flowed better in the series, doesn't have an annoying as f accent, and she would definatley stand up to Megatron. When B was about to die Carly was holding Sam back, Mikaela wouldn't have done that, baecasue she loved B. And again she has an annoying accent especially when she screams, and says autobots, slap that B****

Better Continuity or Bad Acting.

I choose continuity. This is supposed to be about the character, well, I just don't see why they couldn't continue the Mikaela character (mechanic, tough girl who protects her man and, Bumblebee and can kill a Decepticon without the help of military weapons) with another actress. It's been done before, sometimes it works out well, and sometimes it don't.

 

I choose continuity as well.

But then, I don't feel Megan was as bad as she is made out to be by many on this board. I bought into the character of Mikaela, especially in the first movie (the material was lacking in the second and I think Megan gave a better performance in the first). Mikaela was shown to be more capable than Sam until he grew a pair at the very end, and I liked that she wasn't a damsel.

She fit into the movieverse more than Carly did.
