If Jack ever possesses the Key To Vector Sigma again, I am wondering if Megatron will try to capture him and use him to download another copy of the matrix. The Cons could manufacture a container for a new Matrix similar to Prime's. Megatron could capture Jack and threaten to kill his mom or even Arcee if he doesn't do what he says and venture to Cybertron and reload the key. Perhaps Jack goes there and gets the key reloaded, but Megatron is stopped from acquiring it. Perhaps a second Matrix is created and given to another Autobot to become a second Prime since one Prime may not be enough with the Autobots so scattered across the galaxy. Perhaps a Hot Rod character gets it? Or perhaps even a female Autobot named Aerial turning her into Elita One? Or perhaps they place the second Matrix into an evil clone of Optimus producing Nemesis Prime? But I don't think the Matrix will allow itself to be used for evil despite what Megatron thinks.

 

Jack returned the Key to Optimus. No need to weild it again. End of the story.

Not sure what he'd do with it, anyway. The way the episode played, Orion's personality and memories got overwritten by the Optimus Prime personality and memories. I don't see Megatron wanting that for himself.

 

Make Unicron his slave? He has wanted the Matrix for the longest time. He even admitted in "Orion Pax Part 3" that once he gets the reloaded Matrix, he'll be the last in a long succession of Primes.

 

Yeah, but whatever Megatron thought he wanted or how he thought it would work, the way Orion Pax Part 3 showed the Matrix working, it seems like it would just turn him into another Optimus Prime, except in Megatron's body.

 

And Megatron couldn't even use the key because only Jack could use it because it was given to him directly from OP. Otherwise, then Jack wouldve just given it to another Autobot to go to Vector Sigma.

I rewatched it. Yeah, you're right. It's funny. First he wanted the Matrix for himself. Now he wants to destroy it? And it Optimus is the last Prime, how could he end the succession of the Primes?
