You look for a figure for weeks. You finally give up and you order it online, and either you find it the next day after ordering or the day after you recieve it? I HATE when that happens.

It wasn't too long after I got my KO Thundercracker that the Hasbro one was announced...

This has happened to most of us, and more often than not. It's a bit irritating at first, but then you realize you had the comfort of knowing that you had secured yourself one.

I remember the morning I got my notice that BBTS had shipped my E-Omega Supreme. That afternoon while making a run to Target to get something else, there's were 4 of them sitting on the shelf...........

There are times when you make a good call and ordered a rare one that would be hard to find. (Warbot, Shadow Scythe) There are times when you make a bad call when you order something more expensive that's easily found later (ex. HA mudflap, thundercracker)

Its part of collecting. Nothing unusual here.

Not too much with transformers because I usually only buy online when the figures have been sold out of the stores for a year or so. I may have that feeling soon though because I just ordered the wheeljack, thundercracker, kupp, and scourge set as well as lugnut on bbts. I wont be mad in this instance because I have waited so long for these figs that I don't care if I have to pay $10 more in total.

This. 14.80 for a fig in a year when distribution is poor makes it worth the risk. After the warpath/wheelie/cosmos debacle, I've learned not to leave it to chance.

Yup, although I don't worry about it too much. Although one time I did go to some lengths to get the ROTF scouts breakaway, scattershot and skystalker, and of course once they arrived they were all over the place.

It can be a pain in the glutius maximus. But I know its all part of the game. I just ordered RTS Lugnut and Generations Wheeljack from BBTS but I have a feeling I wont see them anytime soon. (I never did find a Highbrow)

Toy karma, she can be a bitch. I've long had that happen where I'd order a product, only to see it FINALLY pop up at retail a day or two later.

However, karma is being nice to me since my local Walmart has gone down the gutters in quality so my internet orders aren't as much a concern.

Never, honestly. If I'm not having luck finding a figure, I post it in my State's Sightings thread. And more often than not, another member can get one and meet up with me for it.

I almost never resort to buying online, even with imported figures.

That's just Murphy hard at work.

It use to bother me, especially with all the sales at retail constantly rubbing it in my face afterwards. But with distribution being so sporatic as of late, I'm ok with the sure thing over "the hunt" (+ burning gas)

i have 2 different KO Thundercracker figures, and the Hasbro one in my PoL right now.

i bought the wrong KO, (shoulda known that a $25 toy selling for $10 wasn't right.) got the better quality KO, then...TFW2K5 headlines the release of TC and Wheeljack.

but my paranoia/pseudo jewish grandmother/nervous Nellie self is already freaking out over being unable to get the new Warpath mold, so i will look everywhere for it and then still find it in a store later.

will i feel like a sucker? yeah. but it's the price to pay to make sure i get the figures i want.

It's mine, I tell ya, ALL MINE!!!
