also, how much do toys like this hurt the fandom? can imagine loads of kids were upset when their first tf, classics galvatron broke.
Just the left arm, because of the combination of tight hinge joint and looser balljoint, causing the balljoint to give way unless you're paying attention enough to lever the shoulder right. Occasionally I'll twist the lower legs off if I'm not paying attention at all, because they're only meant to go one way. I know I'm in the minority, but I love the figure. So many neat things going on. And thankfully, mine's generally pretty stable.
The stupid "skirt" type piece that hangs off the front of the tank mode. Took me a good minute to get that back in. And the right arm/turret fell off a lot during transformation - it never wants to stay on. That's why I will never take him back to alt-mode.
Just the cannon itself. Popped off its ball joint, and I had to wrestle it back on. At least it wasn't like War For Cybertron Cliffjumper. Turning him back into his "car" mode, and I popped off a leg AND a hand.. and you would never tell!
I remember at least something falling off of Galvatron as I attempted to transform him the first time, but was able to put it back on him after I was done transforming him. Haven't transformed him back into tank mode since then, and since I think he's one of the worst Universe toys made, I'm planning on selling him.
Never had Galvatron fall apart to the degree everyone always complains about. The arm pops off now and then, but that's just because the ball joint is a little loose. Also I don't think it 'hurts the fandom' at all...at least Galvatron's pieces can pop back on unlike, say, G1 Prowl's roof of G1 Soundwave's tape door. Curent toys can 'break' and be put back together, the ld ones broke and you were shit out of luck unless your parents bought you a new one.
honestly, due to the fact almost the entire toy feels like a snap together model kit...7 pieces fell off, but nothing broke. Galvatron is about as sturdy as a Heroes of cybertron PVC figure.
