Do you usually go to the store knowing which one you'll buy?

Most are planned or secured online. I recently found Animated Shockwave and some legends that were total impulse, though.

All now. I used to buy impulsively (sp?), but discovered that I regretted almost every one of those purchases. I keep a list of both online and upcomming retail stuff that I want and don't really get anything that isn't on the list. Just been burned too many times on impulse buys.

Every payday I make a trip to the toy isle and see what is out there. I usually know what is out at the moment, but I don't go to the store looking for that specific figure unless it's something hard to find like TFA Arcee.

So, I guess that's an impulse buy?

I plan my buys, but buy what I plan impulsively, if that makes sense?

Meaning I don't exactly hunt down things most of the time, I just know what I want and if I happen to come across one of said wants I will buy it most of the time.

I know what I want in advance through research. If I see stuff I want at the stores that I shop I will buy it. The imports are usually purchased from online retailers or conventions. I don't really buy on impulse without any research on the item. The last time I did a blind impulse buy was TFA Rescue Ratchet. It was not a total bad purchase. At least my son enjoyed it.

I am always so behind that if i got $10 here and there i'll go to wal-mart and spend 10 minutes deciding who to get, rarely do i know who i am grabbing right then and there, like with ROTF dirge

Unfortunately, most of my purchases are not pre-meditated.

Sometimes, that's not such a bad thing. ROTF Defender Optimus Prime was a recent impulse purchase that I'm actually very happy with.

Unfortunately, there aren't nearly that many good impulse purchases for me...

The majority of mine are planned, I go to the store hoping to find a specific figure or figures. But, I end up with a lot of impulse buys too... if I don't find the figure I want, I get pouty and buy something just cos I don't wanna leave empty-handed. And even when I do find the figure I want, I often have a strong urge to grab everything around it.

My online purchases are sort of a mix between planned and impulse... I mean, if I make a big list in the Junkion of figures I wanna buy, then obviously I planned the list... but my decision on when to post the list is pretty much an impulse.

quite a few but as the saying goes "The best Laid plans and mice and men sometimes go awry" I sometimes have to fly by the seat of my pants and decide right there in the store.

    all my crimes are premeditated.

i am talking out loud again?

i get my information from here and plan ahead for what i want.
impulse buys come later, during droughts (of new releases) or a great clearance price, like $20 for TFA Leader figs.

As of recent times I plan my purchases ahead of time so that I can set aside the money for those I want. But before my layoff I was more of an impulse buyer.

These days, About 95% of my acquisitions are definitely pre-meditated (No more pointless purchases for me :lol ). By being alot more picky (& by clearing off previously pointlessly-bought figures), I've trimmed down my collection to 480-odd. Yeah, for me it's definitely quality over quantity. :)

I used to make a lot more impulse purchases, but now almost 100% of the figures I buy are pre-meditated purchases.

The closest I ever come to impulse buys are characters I was on the fence about but leaning away from (like the ice cream twins). But when I see them and there are almost none on the shelf I buy it as a just in case (and then of course end up opening it).

I but stuff in the store now and then for fun, but almost all of my favorites are Japanese figures i had to order online. So I'm pretty sparing in what I buy in store, knowing it very well may end up in the basement before long.

Almost all off my purchases are. I am very, very stricted on what TF's I get. Once a blue moon there will be an impulse buy.
