don't care who knows, three or four people from work have seen the collection, and a lot fo friends and family, besides, collecting g1, that "old box of toys in the basement" that someone has can be the best score you could hope to get

Have to be proud of who you are and what you love, imo. Otherwise, life is just too depressing

I'm an adult, I'm married, I don't give a mad freak about who knows what I like or what they think of it. And like others, I have always had a few robots or whatever else on my desk at work at any given time.

Anyhow, we're living in an age where most people either don't care or think it's cool. It's not like the super-serious world of the 1950s or something. I would not have been able to survive in a 1950s environment with all the pod people.

I don't advertise my collecting but I do not hide it either. I love the thrill of the hunt and for that you must go public.

At work I get to surf TFW so anyone that sees my screen knows I like TFs. My desktop is usually one of TJ's spectacular toy pics so that gives it away too.

At home, my friends and family know about my habit, I mean hobby, so nothing to hide there either.

I'm public. Aside from having TF's at home, I bring some to office and I got Decepticon stickers on my car.

    Proud to be TF fan.

Family only. I try to limit how many toys I buy to keep the collection small.

Nobody knows besides one of my parents. The other knows I have bought them recently, but doesn't really understand what's going on. My sibling thinks I'm over them. I'm very good at hiding things, I guess. Other than that, nobody in the world knows, (besides you guys,) nor will be told.

    Basically, it's my biggest secret.

I'm sorta like this as well. I don't tend to broadcast much about myself like this with others, but if it comes up, it comes up. Most people who know me, know I'm into things like this anyways.

My TF collection isn't very big, but it's definitely growing, but I do have a pretty large G.I Joe collection, as well as about 90% of MU figures and some other random figs (TMNT, handful of SW, and Star Trek). I pretty much keep it completely to myself, my family knows, only because my brother and I live together, and you cant really hide a massive plastic addiction like that, plus my sister and father visit regularly. to be honest I'm kind of embarassed about it sometimes. Not neccisarily that I collect toys, but more the fact that I have a LOT of them.

I dunno, I feel like if my collection were small and fit inside something like a single bookshelf/display case, I'd proudly display it in my living room and gladly talk about it with guests and friends. It would be a cool little hobby, or an endearing apsect of me. However, seeing as how I have like 8-10 big ass tubs, I feel like people would view me more along the lines of the 40 year old virgin or something. I feel like rather than people thinking, "oh Zander07 has such a neat toy collection, you should see it!" They would be like "Fuck, Zandar07 has no life, he's got waaay too many toys." Hell, maybe I do, but I really enjoy the hobby soooo.........

I don't know, I'm just kind of rambling, but yeah.....I don't tell people.

Yeah because the money is better spent on alcohol, sports, cars, motorcycles and so on.

Seriously people , everyone, spends crazy money on (down to the bare bones) useless garbage. It's human nature to collect (something about collecting for winter). Obviously their thought processes verge on the realm of media fed directions.
