How many of you are free with letting people know that you love transformers and collect them?
LOL Yes, I'm out of the Transformers collecting closet.
I'm Facebook Famous....
I don't hide anything LOL!
I'm a closet geek. Between my 2 jobs an my other activities I don't think anyone wld peg me for a transformers collector. I like it that way though, it's a part of my private life that I like to keep private. Sides, I have all you guys that know.
i dont really care who knows about my collection...that 12-20 dollar transformer i buy this year might be worth 40 next.
I've got my collection out in the den where people congregate for social events at our house. I'm very open and proud of my collection.
i'm quite publlic about my love of tfs in fact if it wrern't for the fact that im alwasy adding more id were my collection count as a bage of pride
I really don't care what others think about it. I aim to please myself, not the will of others.
Multiple bots sitting on my desk at work. The guy one cube over has some pretty cool Halo Mega Blox.
People are well aware of my collecting Transformers. With that being said, I don't enjoy telling people. People won't let it go. There are always comments about "wasting money," people constantly relating everything to Transformers, people cracking jokes ... it's not embarrassing, it's annoying.
People usually don't even have to ask, I tell them. Still is an annoyance.
Family knows, friends know, coworkers don't. When I'm at a store to buy something, I wont deny I'm buying for myself, but I don't advertise.
I have a ROTJ poster and a few Star Wars items at my work desk - and a decpticon badge on most of the cars I've owned throughout the years. That's it as far as letting anyone outside of my family & friends know what's going on.
I used to be quiet about it. Nowadays I don't care.
i try to keep it to myself. only a select few know of it, and fewer the vastness of it.
If somebody asks me about it I'll tell anybody, but I'll only make a point to bring it up to my friends and family.
I don't care who knows.
If it's appropriate to the conversation at hand I won't ever hide the fact I collect- hell, in high school I had a bunch of the original spawn toys in package on my bedroom walls. I had friends who tried to give me grief, but the fact that it didn't bug me made it get old pretty quick for them (which is what I always tell my kids if ever confronted with a bully). It all comes down to confidence- be proud of who you are no matter what (unless you are one of those guys from collection obsession, those guys are weird)
I have TFs at my work desk.
I've also worn the TFCon t-shirt doing groceries.
I don't care who knows, but at the same time I don't go around broadcasting it.
sums it up pretty good for me as well
i worked at target for about 3 years, so it didn't take long before my purchasing habits were noticed, but most everyone had some form of plastic crack addition that i enjoyed working with, either toys, video games, magic cards or such.
I also ware my Transformers 25th anniversary botcon shirt when i go out to the bar or vfw with my friends, but i also have the Airborne hat on at the same time so it balances out my ego
