At some point I might buy the toy.

is the toy deluxe or voyager sized?

has anyone taken a tape measure & measured the toy from head to toe in robot mode. please if you have what are the inches measurements

how big is the USB styled lap top mode. has anyone measured the rectangular shaped toy in alt mode. how long, how wide & how narrow is it?

thanks in advance to all who measured this toy in both modes. then provided the toys measurement within this thread.

The news I heard was that he was rumoured to be approximately deluxe sized.

Closer to voyager, almost the size of classics optimus in robot mode.

just curious did you measure it with a tape measure or ruler.

What I really need is a exact height measurement. not a guess.

I can't give you an exact measurement, but he's between Deluxe and Voyager Class. He's bigger than a Deluxe, but not too much. He's about the amount of extra size compared to a Deluxe that Blaster always had in animation in fact.

I've got a gallery up in the photo galleries section that you ought to check out:

Broad Blast (Device Label) - TakaraTomy "Label" Series - TFW2005.COM

And here's some useful comparison shots:

Sorry I can't help much with precise measurements, but this should at least give you an idea of how tall the guy is compared to some of the other toys out there.

Not a chance. That would be incredibly pointless. The mini laptop would be an incredibly unplayable, boring alt-mode for kids, and his only other gimmick, his cassette storage, is unsupported by current merchandise.

And Generations has no Voyager pricepoint.

Like mx-01 archon said that will never happen in a million years. Just like Hasbro said they'd never release Music Label Soundwave here in the states.

Electronics stores are supposed to carry Device Label Ravage, Tigatron, Trypticon, and Grimlock so maybe they'll carry Blaster as well, but it'll be full price and not $20 or $10 (think $50 or $60 or something).

Never happen, as others have said, and we got a Blaster in the Universe line (yes, I know it is a repaint) but that is all your gonna get.

I realize it's a beyond unrealistic dream. but a dream non-the-less. I just have a hard time justifying paying all those import+shipping fees which easily total $70 for a voyager sized toy.

I'd imagine some TF fans who bought device label blaster. don't hook it up to there computer & actually use it to get more ports to plug more computer stuff into it.

I know if I paid $70+ for device label blaster. i'd be afraid to hook it up to my computer. I'd use it as a display piece on my toy shelves.

Hasbro/takara is famous for having more than one updated homage character in any given year/years. so another blaster updated homage toy in generations shouldn't be a big problem/deal.

We might eventually see a Blaster in Generations. Maybe as a Soundwave redeco with a gun that folds up to go in the chest and a new head. But I think he's way down on the "to-do" list. I'm happy with the Device Label Blaster. I'd have liked to pay about £10 less than what I did on him but he's not too bad as a collector piece.

But yeah, very dull in alternate mode. Only laptop we'll ever get a toy of mind, but not all that exciting. One cool thing about it though is the cable hookup on the side is almost exactly in the right place for where he plugged into the Autobot City communications grid in the animated movie.
