How many dvds do you have in your collection? Here's mine. http://www.dvdaficionado.com/dvds.html?cat=1&sub=ANF&id=gaastra Only 153. Crap my collection stinks. What about the rest of you?
Been a looooooong time since I have done a count (which was 563 back then) so I will guesstimate about 700-750.
Thousands... most of which I've only watched once and all of which sit unused in storage. I don't see myself buying too many in the future, since so many new movies are readily available on HBO/Cinemax/Showtime.
I don't own my DVDs, my DVDs own ME!. Well, not really. Probably only about a 100 or so. I only buy a DVD of something if I'm gonna watch it more than once. Blockbuster Online can get everything else to me.
I dont know the exact number but it's somewhere between 150-200. It's kind of funny, there are tons of DVDs that I have that I haven't watched since I bought them. Like Gladiator for example. GREAT film, just have never been in the mood to watch it. That and it's on TV every couple of months.
No idea. Though it is about 5 shelves full of them (some box sets) and it's gotten to the point where I've had to start stacking them on top of each other. And I've got 3 news ones arriving soon >.<
I just had to start doing that last month. Time for a bigger shelf! I would guess 250-300 right now but I probably buy 5-10 a month. I don't buy new releases that often I usually wait for WalMart (or Ebay) to sell them for $5-$9.
Me and my parents we buy an average of 5 DVD's a week so id say right know from the last time I counted we have about 300 or so alot of them are newer series, plus we only have 2 box sets, both are nip tuck.
One other thing to note is how to count your DVD's. When it comes to a boxed set how do YOU count them? For me, if it is a TV series I count it as 1, for example Season 1 of Star Trek: The Original Series to me counts as 1 DVD on the list. However my Buffy Complete Series counts as 7, because it is comprised of 7 seasons. Why the difference? Because you cannot purchase 1 disc of a season by itself, but you can buy 1 season independent of the entire series. Also movies that come in a pack are usually counted separately. For my James Bond sets I count each movie in the set rather than counting the entire set as one entry. But for something like the Hellboy Special edition which is three discs, it counts as one entry. Maybe just the way I do it, but it makes perfect sense to me. Then again I am anal as hell.
We used to do that. Now I would be surprised if a case has the correct movie in it. I don't have a number, I just know it is too many. We have 3 shelves packed with stuff for us, tons of kid's movies, and a bunch of crap stacked on top of the TV since they won't fit on the shelves. Once my son stops grabbing everything he can reach we will reorganize. But for now; Whats the point?
Over 400. I have most of them entered in my database for organizing purposes. Got a ton of CDs too. Probably over 500.
