Depends on how well the toys sell. They'll probably fly like hotcakes, if TF1 sales are an indicator, but Hasbro might do a call out to the fans and deco him up as Tracks instead. Tracks was a Corvette in G1 after all.

 

Probably likely to get a G1 accurate version, a little less likely to get Sunstreaker.

 

I can see G1 recolor happening, and a Sunstreaker recolor (maybe even head remold) for the third movie line.

 

I'd bet a G1 Sideswipe repaint (maybe an exclusive, like Target G1 Jazz/Starscream) is likely, somewhere. Tracks seems like a maybe to me, with Sunstreaker falling in the least likely place. I'd like to see all three, though.

Those were just the direct Character to Character repaints. Movie characters got repainted into:
Starscream into Thuderscracker & (soon) Skywarp & Ramjet
Bumblebee into Cliffjumper
Normal movie & FAB Jazz into Smokescreen



So I'd say there is almost 100% chance that Sideswipe will be released in red. I'd also think the Contructicons will get a green repaint as well. The new Starscream mold will probably get the G1 or Thunderscracker repaint.

 

I think we'll more than likely see a red Sideswipe at some point, with a possible Sunstreaker and/or Tracks repaint later on. I can also imagine some of the other characters getting G1 themed repaints, like Starscream, some of the Constructicons (most likely not all of them), and possibly Ironhide this time around (he's getting a red FAB repaint already, so a Voyager wouldn't be too surprising).

 

That would be neat.

Wow I completely forgot those, I think the constructicons would be a neat repaint.

Hope they are'nt as hard to "track" down as the last time, Jazz took a while to find.

 

I'll tell you straight out--I cannot see that car in any kind of desirable yellow. So Sunstreaker is probably out.

G1 Sideswipe red is a definite, I'd say. And I never thought of Tracks as a possibility...but yeah. That'd look interesting.

 

They should really do Tracks seeing how we didn't get him (among others) in Classics/Universe!

 

I'd say the chances are pretty good considering the way Hasbro loves to do repaints to get more life out of a mold.

 

Man...do I buy silver Sideswipe or wait for a repaint?...Grar....Definitely will not buy two of the same mold for a different color

I'd rather they repaint sideswipe as wheeljack or tracks.

I just think the colors would work, as either of these two were what we thought the leaked sideswipe was supposed to be early on.

That would be good. corvette= tracks I can actually see that happening. It even works for the mainstream consumer since he has wheel feet = tracks  

Both molds were done in g1 colors for the first movie run.
