Today, I was looking at some Transformers as ussual, esspecially Bludgeon and Recon Ironhide. Toy store I looked at didn't have them so I got out there with empty hands. Then I remembered that I needed cornflakes and went to a grocery near toy shop. When I went in, I said to myself: "Hey, why not look at the toy asile?" Even though I knew they sell KOs, I went in and found this:

Howcome this is possible? A Target Exclusive toy ends up in a grocery which sells KOs. Any explanation would be as awesome as this toy, my first gestalt :D

If the store sells KO, then it is safe to say they also actively buy clearance items in bulk. This would explain why they have that set.

That's a lucky find right there. Every Target I've went to had only 1 or 2 of them on a shelf and after a week they had no more. Just my luck apparently.

I suggest you buy the Superion upgrade kit. I heard it's worth the money.

Well if you are in a different country, which I'm assuming since your info says "Turkey" as your location, that toy may not have been an exclusive to Target or any specific store. Also, like transjazz said, some stores tend to buy off stock from larger changes. For example Marshalls ended up carrying Hasbrotoyshop.com exclusives (Classics Special Edition Dragstrip, Megs, Prime, and Overkill) and in Australia they were sold in normal stores and not just online

Ditto on both of these. That's a pretty great find!

I purchased the "Snowman" upgrade kit for mine from TFSource. It looks pretty good on that particular model.

I didn't know that things like that happen. Thanks

Thanks, If I can find any money, I will ;)

Yes, I live in Turkey and we don't have exclusives. I have been collecting for years and this is the first exclusive I am seeing in my country. Even more weird thing is that It was a grocery

It's only a Target exclusive in the US, a Zeller's exclusive in Canada, and maybe a different one again in the UK.

Not to mention those two sets were mass-releases in Asia and Australia in Universe packaging.

Superion was mass released in the UK, supermarkets, department stores, TRU etc. He's been a shelfwarmer in TRU for months. We didn't get Bruticus at all :(

Well, some US retail stores will sell off their clearance inventory to outside buyers, but I think its is confidential, and you may to look around to find those. But count yourself lucky if you are able to find ones that you want.

We also got him in Costco. Sadly, I was too late to get a 2nd one which I have planned for a custom.

Reminds me of January, when I saw a bunch of the Wal-Mart 2007 movie exclusives (Big Daddy & co.) in a gift-shop at the Houston airport. They had a new sticker covering the one that read "Only at Wal-Mart" :)
