For those who got it on iTunes, how is the score? As good as TF1? Better than ROTF? Worth buying? Wait?

Worth the money. The best of the trilogy (as a whole score). Scorponok is forever my favorite TF score track.

It feels like it ratchets up the epicness, much like RotF's score did. Nothing quite as awe-inspiring as "Arrival on Earth." Lots of familiar motifs given a nice re-working though. The longest track is an entirely new battle theme that takes your breath away.

I'm listening to the iTunes samples. Yes, BATTLE sounds epic but DARK SIDE OF THE MOON really sounds beautiful.

SENTINEL PRIME sounds equally beautiful... but sounds like some type of blend between Transformers and Last of the Mohicans.

There Is No Plan is the best track in my opinion. It takes the 'somthing new is coming' feel fromArrival to Earth track from TF1 and makes it into an 'our friends are leaving' track.

It is amazing, But Transformers 1 score will always be my Favorite. It drew me more into the film and im still listening to it to this day. My favorite is "You're a soldier now".

    Yes, I can see why.

17 tracks @ $1.29 ea... 15.99 for the album seems a good deal. If you buy the album from iTunes do you get digital booklet? What is that?

Definitely plays better than ROTF's, which I felt was a letdown after I was introduced to Jablonsky's work with the first film.

This one feels better, like there's a bit more at stake.

Can someone tell me which track plays when
Optimus and the Autobots first come to Chicago and Sam realizes they're still alive?

    *SPOILERS*

Oh my goodness, the score is amazing. I just bought two songs, "There Is No Plan" and "It's Our Fight". These two are my favorite of the score, and both are just awesome and breathtaking. The beginning of "There Is No Plan" is played in the movie when the Autobots are driving up to the spaceship to leave Earth. Absolutely beautiful and very emotional. "It's Our Fight" has a part from 1:17-2:18, or something like that, that has wonderful music that I think was played when Optimus was on his killing spree. Just amazing. Buy it! :D

Well, hm...I only remember what was playing when Sam and Co. enter Chicago, which was Iridescent. That scene was very emotional.

Track 17-Our Final Hope is so damn epic! It seems to tug at you in a profound way, and really seems to be a fitting ending piece to the trilogy. I wish that it played in the final scene after Optimus killed Megs and Sentinel...that is if the ending scene was longer haha.

TF1 was more about distinguishing between the heroes and villains because you definitely got those themes down

    TF2 was more edgier

TF3's score was more on the epic side

Score is very nice. Not as good, catchy or rich as the TF1 score, and unfortunately, alot of recycled bits or bits that sound like parts of the scores of The Dark Knight, Pirates of the Caribbean and Inception - which is something people working at/for the Zimmer studio (like Jablonsky) often do. It's longer than ROTF's score, luckily.

Overall I'd say you get your money's worth.

Digital booklet is nothing more than what would normally be inside of the case: the little book with the front cover and credits list. For this soundtrack, it holds nothing of interest..just 5 pages of people listed and no artwork you've not seen before.

The first one is the best because it had the distinct hero theme that sticks with everyone. This one only sounds good when you put it together with the scene.
