I agree that I like it when comic characters talk like they do in the cartoon. The cartoon stories may be mostly goofy and overly ridiculous but they did capture the personality and the way they should talk.

However, motivations are usually stronger in the comics. Comics Prowl is a much better character than cartoon Prowl. Comics Shockwave is a much better character than cartoon Shockwave.

My ideal fiction would be a combination of cartoon and comics.

I can't help but warm to the guy too, whether it is sincere or not I enjoy his presence on the comic boards, I wonder if he will accept my friend request? if you are reading this I gave dreamwave a good solid 7 and do occasionally re-watch my G1 DVD's so we are practically on the same side, I'm sorry I can't pretend to hate everything else just to please you as what kind of friendship would that be? One other thing which might make you accept I know you love G1 accuracy check this I did http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/radicons-customs/465397-my-transforming-g1-megatron-completed.html

If anyone here has any theories on what could have happened next or how it would have been concluded I would love to hear them as in my opinion the ongoing part was starting to get interesting. Some of unresolved story points do niggle at me a little like what was that underground thing on earth that sunstorm uncovered? why was unicron and the quintessons both seeking an objective on earth? what became of alpha trion? whats the link with quintessons and female transformers etc. Also just wondering has anyone seen any good fanfiction conclusion to it? just wondering

Really? I just thought he was sick with power. I did enjoy that little series though and wished they wouldnt have killed him off so soon. His character had soo many possibilities.

I didn't know this I thought he had a large chunk of vector sigma downloaded into him which made him like he was, which in some ways makes him a bit similar to xaraxon towards the end of G1 marvel comics. I guess the conclusion of the war within dark ages was ambiguous and maybe the fallen was absorbed into primus/vector sigma

I agree up until Mtmte & Rid came to the scene Dw was my favorite, I still read it once a year at least. I always found the furman and Costa IDW runs to be kinda boring. And I still feel dw's profile books are the best ever. I liked dw wave bee a little better than idw's, I kinda felt like he might have had what it took to be a leader.

With $7200 and a little bit of psychology, you too can live out your geek fan boy fantasies!

I'm pretty sure the money needed to fulfill one of MY geek fanboy dreams; owning a street legal replica of the BTTF DeLorean Time Machine (with faux Mr. Fusion upgrade and sans hovercar option), runs well into excess of $7,200.

I would like for Dreamwave Transformers comics to come to comixology. I would buy those that haven't been collected in a trade paperback.

Dreamwave is mostly bad fanfiction, but I gave it a 5 for some interesting stuff in War Within.

Slighty back on topic, I did like the Energon Series. Hate on that for what you will, but at least it was doing something different and actually had a developing plot with some interesting characters.

WWI was OK. The rest was awful.

I liked Armada UNTIL fuckin' Galvatron came out of nowhere with his train of fanwankiness.

Then I called bullshit and gave up on the book.

Didn't bother with Energon after though...

    I guess I'm a minority then.

I loved the G1 art in DW. Pat Lee and politics aside, I bought the comics just to look at the artwork and didn't pay much attention to the story (which I agree with others is lacking). DW was the first TF comics I picked up since the original 80's Marvel comics. So yeah ... artwork blew me away.

Not only that, they came out at the time when Takara first announced they were reissuing their G1 TF line. I guess the artwork impressed Takara and Hasbro enough that they eventually used it for their TFC and Commemorative Series toyline.
