I recently come back into collecting after a very hard last year. I saw on a local store Dleuxe Brawn and I was interested in this figure the first time I saw the pictures but I got less interested when I saw how the back panels looked too big on display.

But today I was checking some pictures of him on the galleries and it looked so bad-ass!

For those of you who have got this figure, what the pros and cons of it? from 1 to 10 how many point would you give him?

    Thanks a lot!

I was on the fence for a long time on this guy. You can even see that I started a thread about whether to buy him. In the end, I found him for 7 dollars and couldn't resist, and at that price I'm glad I didn't resist. He's far from my favorite figure and can be a little clumsy (shellformery) in some ways, but he's so posable and so completely badass that I'd say just get off the fence and don't waste as much time Hamletting about this as I did.

Oh, and if you're forcing me: 7

It's just ROTF Brawn and he's awesome if you can ignore the fact that he's a bit of a shellformer.

    Pros:
    Unmistakably Brawn
Great color contrasts in robot mode.
    Awesome gun poses.
    Great looking alt-mode.
Looks tough despite being rather slim.
Matches well with the other N.E.S.T. figures.
Having goat legs gives him a vague aura of the damned.

    Cons:
Not a lot of color variation in alt-mode.
The mounted gun cannot be removed.
A good chunk of his alt-mode becomes a shell backpack.
Never could decide if it was the backpack that makes him look tough.
Some alt-mode kibble on his arms and legs can get in the way of posing him.
Doesn't look as tough as he should without his guns.
    Mech Alive gimmick is insignificant.

    Overall: 7.5/10

    Thanks for the info.

I am not so sure about buying it now, since the store I found it is not a major retail, so the figure is more expensive than the ones in big stores, but it's no so much. Moreover, big stores only got the ROTF waves 1 and 2 and I am not sure if we will get HFTD for Christmas since for the fist movie we never got all the Premium line.

If I get enough great comments like yours, I will get him. Thanks again!

Pretty good figure. I love these Movieverse and G1-styled hybrids we've been getting since the ROTF/NEST/HFTD lines (Bludgeon, Breakdown, Lockdown, Seaspray, etc.). But to be honest, I look at him more as an upgraded RID X-Brawn.

Not to be 'that guy' but you'll probably find all you need to convince you how cool the figure is (or not) in his Feedback thread.

Personally I really like the figure. Somewhere between a 7 and an 8 out of ten, I reckon. He needs more ankle articulation and I wish his head had a better range of backwards tilt movement. Folding his back doors in half again might've helped lesson their kibbly nature too.

Yeah, raising his arms moves the gears in the openings of his chest.

If it's substantially more expensive, you may end up deciding it was not worth the bother.

I'm gonna be a bit harsh and give it a 6.

Looks pretty good from the front..... from the back it's a hollow robot with some wings.

...aside from which there's an Ouback-themed ("Fallback") repaint (new head?) in the works too.

Yes, I was thinking on buying from a member here, but I don't know if the shipping cost will make it even more expensive than it is here considering I live in Peru.

    Thanks for all your posts!

Shipping it to Peru can't cost that much.... I can get a single Deluxe shipped to Ireland for $8.00.

I don't know how intrusive customs are in your country, or how long it would take customs to process it, but BBTS would be less discrete than a board member.

If you're going to start buying from TFW members or from eBay (any place you'd have to pay for shipping) then you can do a lot better than Brawn, but if you're asking because he's at a local store and there aren't many other options, he's cool.

I love Brawn he is a nice little figure. My biggest issue with him is he is kibbletastic being that he is a shellformer but i would say a solid 7/10

    Ebay:
I got Brawn a few months ago, and I rather like his design and transformation.

As others said, not only are his dual handguns cool, but he can use the weapons from Recon Ironhide, another worthwhile purchase imo.

I honestly don't mind him being a shellformer, or the kibble. I even like the kibble on most tfs, and Brawn is no exception. His can make for some interesting custom modes.
