BotCons have had some pretty good sets (Like the Stunticons), and some not do good ones. (Like this years, to say one.) But I had the idea for something else. How about a Dark Energon box set for TFP? It'd be your typical zombie-style set. It'd go: Box set: Day of the Terrorcons. I much rather see Machine War updates for a Botcon set. That way I can avoid having my heart broken over sets I would kiss a hippo's behind for a mass release and know I wouldnt be able to get them then. Like the Pre Beast Wars and Animated Botcon sets.
I really think that the botcon sets need to follow a trend. I think the shattered glass series and animated sets need building on.
Sounds too much like a wannabe Shattered Glass with a bunch of essentially evil Autobots. Of course, this means Botcon will likely go for it.
I actually like the idea. Maybe it's just the idea of a lone Ratchet with a chainsaw fighting off a zombie hoards that I like, but I think it's a cool idea.
Isn't that set essentially just a Transformers Prime version of Evil Dead? I mean, you even give the one good guy the chainsaw and turn all his friends into evil zombies.
Sounds pretty uninteresting to me. Also, a ~$100 two pack that includes a retail version of a $20 voyager? No.
I'd personally like a troop builder set of Prime Terrorcons - the Bumblebee as a Terrorcon idea from Japan works for me, I'd take a trio of them as zombies. As far as the non-zombie ones goes, I don't think Botcon should really do premium decos when there's more interesting stuff they could be tackling, like Classics versions of lesser known guys like their Kickoff this year. I wouldn't mind seeing as an attendee exclusive Prime Arcee as Flamewar though - bring home that Botcon tradition!
