I think movie Bee gets too much hate. There are worse characters. I hope his movie does well.

They just need to put "Directed by Travis Knight" on everything.

It will not surprise me if they do that in trailers. But if they do that they better also have "Directed by Travis Knight" for a few more seconds than Bay's name and with a bigger font lol

They need to keep Bay's name away from the marketing. His name has reached the level Shyamalan's did before Split.

No, they need to put "From the Director of 'Kubo and the Two Strings'". People are more familiar with that.
And they really need to not drop Bay's name to the trailer. That can potentially ruin everything.

I agree. Sadly I don't think a lot of people know what 'Kubo and the Two Strings' is. It's a great movie. It's on Netflix if anyone wants to see it lol

Agreed with the above. It'll be a garunTEED FLOP if Bay's name is shown anywhere in the marketing. Period. So paramount, editors, take note.

And as far as it does in the box office? Hard to say. The thing this franchise actually has going for it is the potential for a well done, critically acclaimed movie. I think, like how the F&F movies used Paul Walkers death, that that would be the thing to sling the audiences back. However it should be noted too that when the film releases will be a factor. Surrounding it, actually, cornering it and having it sandwhiched in between movies that are already faaar ahead of the curve in audience buzz and critical acceptance would not be the smartest of moves. I believe this to be a huge factor within the many factors of why TLK failed financially.

Well Kubo and the Two Strings got a 97% on the Tomato Meter so the director knows how to make a critical darling. Let's just hope the producers and studio executives don't mess with the film too much and ruin it. If they let Travis Knight just do his work then a Tomato Meter in the 90's could happen.

Maybe they could add "comes a Transformers story"....."unlike anything told before".

That might be a little much but they gotta drive the point home that this is something totally different from the previous films. There can't be a hint of the typical TF Bayhem. The movie has got to sell itself on heart and relationships.

Are Bumblebee a very popular character for mainstream audience or do we just assume he is? I thought Optimus was the most popular of all the Transformers in the Bayverse.

Not expecting it to be the film that saves the live action franchise but hopefully it turns it around a hair. To lay the foundation for a reboot or smooth things over for TF6. Honestly I thought it was a tie between Optimus and Bumblebee being the general public favorites. Though hey I am biased they are my two favorites. Have been since my G1 days as a kid.

They talk about TLK @ 8:33

They express some optimism for the Bee Movie because of Travis Knight. It's why they need to get rid of Bay because a lot of people will be willing to give the franchise another shot because of a fresh direction.
